Random thoughts : from a SP's perspective, having extremely high and specific expectations for a booking will not really serve you, it will just put pressure on the booking and actually lower your chances of having a good time. I don't mean that you shouldn't be looking forward to enjoying what is basically a luxury, because obviously it's normal to expect to have a good time. But as far as I'm concerned my best sessions were with gentlemen who were pleasantly surprised to discover who I am as a person and what their dynamic with me is, rather than people who were very finicky during the booking process or over analyzed everything during our time together.

stores should have a virtual gift card system where you can directly gift to someone while able to say it is from whom and received an email if it has been redeemed, not send me a copy of the gift card too. I don't know why it is so complicated

I think for me family gatherings are a bit overwhelming, and Christmas over the years has become very stressful because of the pressure. I also have positive memories associated with people who aren't in my life anymore, so it's painful to think about it. :( A lot of my friends leave town during the holidays as well. I'm honestly hoping to get bookings during the holiday season to make up for it! Last year I had cocktails at the Ritz with a really cool gentleman and it was pretty much the highlight of my holidays.
It is children that make Christmas magical and I don’t mean grown up ones but little ones that still believe in the magic of Christmas.
It does not have to be religious at all, more just a great occasion for families to get together enjoy each others company, great food and wine and just to be together.

That's very true.

If people park in a "driveway" and drive on a "parkway" shouldn't be the other way around?
It’s a bit like « back and forth ». WTH back is first…

Can’t wait to be on the slopes this winter!
Me neither, there is a place in Punta Cana with nice big sand dunes and palm trees nestled on top with the most gorgeous shades of the ocean.
Waves breaking, snorkelling and just never ending sunshine. I love winter in the Caribbean.

Being able to travel often doesn’t have much to do with the tax bracket. Obviously it depends on where you’re travelling but I have a lot of acquaintances and friends that have been travelling around the globe in their early 20s.

Were they staying at Shangri La every single time? No, mostly hostels, airbnbs, friends.

The more you travel, the easier it is to keep travelling. You’ll meet people from all over the world and they will often invite you to sleep on their couch.

“Wow you are so fun, if you ever happen to be in Barcelona, my couch is available”

Like many things in life, if you lower your expectations, you’ll be able to do what you dream of.

Good tips to travel for less would be to find a credit card that allows you to collect points for Airlines or Hotels. If you have a bigger budget, consider sticking to the same hotel chain so that you can collect points and eventually get free nights or free updgrades.

Be social and make friends with people locally and abroad.

Try to travel with friends so that you can split the cost of a Airbnb.

Try applying for Au pair positions so you can work in a different country. Not exactly travelling but you’ll be abroad and able to visit places in your free time. Who knows you might even be able to learn a new language.

Yesterday I was like 69 days before saying the year 2000 was 25 years ago. Today someone said 2 months before Christmas... Where has time go? *Cries*
