Can’t be certain 100% but most likely his guilty , and why would we be surprised in the first place ?
Politics is a dirty business and many will go to great lengths just to get dirt on their opponents . Whatever the evidence against him he will continue to deny it
It seems that no matter what he does his supporters will live and die with him and as for the impeachment me thinks it will backfire for the Dems
Second term coming up very likely

The impeachment hearings proves that not only his supporters, but the whole Republican, congressman and senators, support him no matter what he does.
That's why i think in the long run it could harm the Republicans if bigger scandals happen or are unveiled in the future.

Just an example, John Bolton, nominated by Trump said he is willing to testify, but the Republican senators and Trump legal council refuse to hear him ! Unbelievable !
The democrats even proposed late last night that the chief justice who is presiding the impeachment, a Republican nominee would decide who could testify and the Republican senators refused !

so trump is accused of trying to discredit Joe Biden but biden did this to himself i am sorry.
hunter biden held a directership of a ukranian gas company-
Burisma while his father was vice president which was a conflict of interest for his father .... and this is ok?The company Burisma also retained the law firm where Biden had been working, Boies Schiller Flexner
Biden’s Burisma directorship attracted attention because Burisma was owned by Mykola Zlochevsky, a minister under Russia-friendly President Viktor F. Yanukovych who subsequently went into exile after a popular revolution. After Yanukovych was ousted, Zlochevsky faced a variety of corruption-related investigations involving his business.

The Biden campaign told PolitiFact that the vice president learned about his son's role on the board through media reports and never discussed anything related to this company with his son. my bullshit detector is flashing on this one
A year and a half later, the New York Times published an article that suggested that "the credibility of the vice president’s anti-corruption message may have been undermined" by Hunter Biden’s dealings with the company.

The post said Biden threatened to withhold $1 billion unless the prosecutor -- Shokin -- was fired. Biden didn’t just make a threat to withhold aid unless Shokin was sacked -- it succeeded.

It was a mistake for Hunter Biden to join the Burisma board, particularly given that the vice president was the senior U.S. official engaging Ukraine," Pifer said. "Hunter Biden should have been more mindful of his father's position

joe biden did urge ukraine to fire its top prosecutor with the threat of witholding us aid ......and this was ok?

Yes, indeed, it is outrageous that they (the senators) run the show according to some long outdated ancient parchment rather than, say, the New York Times.

What Trumpet did with the Ukraine and during the election with Russia, given half a chance every other politician would do the same.
Don’t kid yourself that Clinton, either Bill or Hilary is any different or any other politician that rises to the top, they are all scumbags and will do anything to be elected and to have the power.

In their eyes they can do no wrong, they are above the law, laws were made for ordinary people, not the elite, entitled scumbag politician.
After all they are doing it for their country and to make America great again so all is allowed and the people should be thankful.

If republicans play it right, they might soon close the mouse trap on Democrats

This is the narrative (basically repeat from C.B. Brown post above with a spellcheck )
The Ukrainian prosecutor general started investigation of Burisma for some shady gas/oil deals and money laundering during Obama term. Burisma appointed Hunter Biden to the board of directors soon after and paid him close to $2M for nothing. Biden at that time was responsible for Ukraine in the Obama administration and he now claims that he knew nothing about his son appointment. However, he had insisted soon after that the Ukrainian president fire the prosecutor general because he is “inefficient” in fighting corruption. $1 Bln of the aid was at stake, Ukrainians replaced prosecutor general and the investigation of the Burisma was terminated by the new appointee.

This is the main reason Democrats are quietly dropping Biden from the race. Even NYT smelled rat and did not endorse him. Now all Trump’s moves look surprisingly legit as he has the duty to unravel corruption scum where American citizens or even the former high official might be involved. Because Biden was a prospective candidate it does not shield him from the investigation. Hell, even the current president is not untouchable :usa2:

Nothing surprises me when it comes to politicians.
The only surprise would be to find an honest one, that animal however doesn’t exist, it has always been on the extinct list.

They have considered using politicians instead of lab rats for laboratory experiments.
Because there is only so many things you can make a rat do
and scientists found they didn't form an attachment with a politician like they did for the rats

Agree. But there are still different levels of corruption. This is not some type of the quid pro quo deal. This is mafia-type money deal.

But there are still different levels of corruption.

I agree with that. There is in fact a significant difference between Clintons (or Bidens) who were poor as a church mouse and so considered their political careers (first and foremost) as a means of enriching themselves and their families, and Trump who was rich to start with and in fact might be losing money because of politics.

I am actually proud of Clintons, for the first time in my memory the U.S. can be somewhat competitive on the world arena as far as corruption is concerned. That is to say, in the same league as places like Russia or Ukraine.

The good news is that now the baton has been handed to a worthy competitor when it comes to corruption.
Trump will rectify the situation and make America great again in that regard, although I have my doubts that even he can come close to Russia, Ukraine and some of the Iron Curtain countries in their hay day.

Come on, Trump would not have gotten into politics if he had been just after money. Not to say that he would turn down a couple of lucrative deals should they land in his lap, but that was never his primary motivation. I think he first of all wanted to prove that he can beat all these dumb politicians at their game. And who would claim that he didn't.

Agreed, but now that he is there like you say nothing to stop him from turning down a few lucrative offers or implementing laws that will benefit him and his family and businesses.
With him everything is more ego based, and yes he did beat all these dumb politicians, and will probably do it all over again.
Does this mean he is beyond corruption because he is rich, I think quite the opposite most rich people are quite comfortable let’s say with “ bending the rules” in their favour.

No, of course he is not beyond corruption, why should he be? But not even close to the level of the Clintons' slush fund that they set up with the specific purpose to peddle their influence. And which (the fund) curiously went belly up the moment Hillary lost. Clinton Global Initiative, my ass.

I think him and Bill could be good buddies in real life.
Neither has any scruples and both love chasing the women.
