I don't know how an innocent sounding word such as "hobby" has turned into an issue on language matters.
anyone reading reviews or some of the opinions outside of this " hobby" would classify the language used as pure smut.
Because you do have an agenda Smuler which is being judgmental about things you know absolutely nothing about. You are the single most judgmental person I have met in this hobby and don't even know it.
I would say that 99 % of the people on the board would disagree with you on this..
I have no need to be the center of attention..it's not in my nature

Being judgmental about things you know nothing about and being the "center of attention" having nothing to do with each other. And in regards to people I have spoken to your % would be way off. You can believe whatever it is you want to believe. It's also very ironic to hear from a "VIP designated party greeter" that he doesn't enjoy being the center of attention, but that is not what I said about you.
" Vacation"
Don't think it will stick but for me seeing an SP is an escape, a vacation so to speak, mental vacation anyway.

I didn't claim to be the best reviewer or even a significant reviewer. I just stated the facts of the reviews I wrote, most of which are short and to the point. And the term I used described exactly what I had reviewed.
We should have a drinking game. Every time EB writes or says Euphoria Mini-party we should all take a drink. Just make sure that you are not driving that night.
Is there a poll for the most ridiculous thread on merb? Because this one should be considered for nomination.
There's nothing wrong with the term hobby and I can't imagine how anyone might be insulted by it. Seriously, I can imagine many worse descriptions that could be used - hobby is light-hearted, fun and polite in my opinion.
I have a feeling that some people will dislike whatever term you come up with, you will not be able to please them.
As always, You are so right. Tianna, you are different. You are one of us.
Psychobabble and Gobbledygook from the Alan Alda/Phil Donahue of MERB.
Feelings, wo-o-o feelings,
Why are people so easily offended? They are just words. Do you really car what some random stranger on the internet says or thinks?
If anyone is offended by hobby don't use the term call it something else but don't try to impose your insecurities on others.
People really have to quit being so sensitive.
