This is like French baguette ,Freshness is vital ,Any bread or same family that has low levels to no fat in the ingredient list will harden faster then the bread who has higher level of fat .On bagels Fairmount or St. Viateur but bagel must be consumed within hours of leaving those ovens.

I avoid jello buns.
You can't go wrong with either Schwartz's or Lester's for smoked meat in Montreal.
However in my book, Lester's on Bernard street is the best! And their karnatzels are simply amazing...
