The work of the Special legislative committee on juvenile sexual exploitation led by MNA and ex-SPVM Ian Lafrenière began this month.
Ok, I'm sure (and I hope so) that EVERYONE HERE are against children/teenagers sexual exploitation. And, I'm for that the police ''clean the air'' by arresting anyone who pay or exploit sexually a child/teenager.
But, some groups and lobbies have spoken ahead this committee at the Assemblee nationale du Québec and took the opportunity to argue to abolish prostitution between adults. For example, some groups want that all municipalities shut down massage parlors and strips clubs in the province. Some claims the same thing about swingers clubs. Others want to ''educate'' men and boys about the fact that paid for sex would be a bad thing (oooohhh.....when some left-wing have the same thinking that some right-christian-wing).
This committee doesn't have real power : his main task is to examine the extent of the problem of juvenile sexual exploitation and to make recommendations to the Quebec government in 2020.
But, I'm concerned that this committee exceeds his original mandate and that there be some impacts in the future in the sex industry between consenting adults.
Don't forget that Lafreniere see himself like a crusader, a kind of Wyatt Earp or Elliott Ness! And, he surely want to prove that he's cabinet material (can be a minister).
