He’s got the booming serve and he’s got the soft touch and plenty of game but he still has that attitude problem
Just a couple of days ago he was making fun of Nadal , now why does he need to do that ? Just play tennis Nick

When they both play each other in the next round we shall see if he really has matured , but I will be rooting for Nadal

When Muhammad Ali mocked opponents like Joe Frazier and George Foreman he was called a "master artist of Psychology" and great at psyching out opponents, when Kyrgios does it he is a garden variety bum and fool. I get it, he has not won anything. But the dude is very talented and very dangerous and at some point maturity will hit him and when it does, watch out!

Hey EB I’m not disputing his talent because on the tennis court Nick Kyrgios is indeed gifted and at times even brilliant ,no doubt about that . And if he ends up beating Nadal in the fourth round then good for him he must have earned it , nobody gets a free pass from the Spaniard

But I don’t like it when a player mocks another , I find that disrespectful . Now why did he have to do the whole Nadal time wasting routine on the court , even though I admit that Nadal has been a bit guilty of that

Bottom line this is not Boxing this is a gentleman’s sport and Nadal being the gentleman that he is will show him soon what he thinks of his immature antics , even though he said he didn’t care ... well he cares al right lol

Ps their rivalry has been anything but one sided ( 4-3 )I agree . But Nadal has breezed through his matches ( mostly three setters) so don’t expect this one to go Kyrgios way . Consistency has never been his forte and him playing a gruelling five setter means he will run out of gas .
Still I wish him GL ... I don’t hate Nick Kyrgios it’s just that I find some of his clown antics disappointing

Yesterday i watched MILOS and COCO.....what a superb win by MILOS vs CILIC.....32 aces....RAONIC won 12 consecutive sets,,,wow....he likes to play in Melbourne....he looks relax and in perfect control......BUT tomorrow will play DJOKO in quarters.....he is 0-9 vs DJOKO....

COCO -KENIN.....a thrilling first set won by COCO BUT after it was all KENIN....KENIN is always funny to watch....bouncing on the court et toujours pleine d'une belle énergie.

And yep tonight the game of the day....NADAL vs the one and unique Kyrgios.....go RAFA...

Surprising that Raonic hasn't pulled out yet due to injury.

Surprising that Raonic hasn't pulled out yet due to injury.

What is more surprising, I think, is that so far he has played much better than he used to. That is to say, achieving something with his ground strokes, not only serves. That probably still wouldn't be enough against Djokovic, but at least it may get entertaining.

I caught some of the action this time. Muguruza looked good, great to have her back. And the Wawrinka -- Medvedev match was really exciting, I watched the last two sets. Stan was superb, I am really glad he is back to his fighting shape. Medvedev actually played well too, but no match for Stan.

Nadal -- Kyrgios was less entertaining, in my view. Nadal just played better, despite Kyrgios' best effort.

When all of that effort was needed to beat the 100th ranked player you wonder how much longer he will last in this tournament.

In this tournament he obviously won't last much longer. He would have beaten the 100th ranked player very comfortably if he had been at full strength, or, say, 75%, that much is obvious too. What is not so obvious is whether anyone else could have beaten Sandgren (who by the way made it to the quarters despite his low rating) while being so seriously impaired. He could barely move for two and a half sets, but still figured out a way to survive. Truly amazing.

Meanwhile, Djokovic -- Raonic was disappointing, I think. Not much of a competition, really, the result was never in doubt.

I watched KENIN and BARTY.....KENIN --i like her and her unique way of playing---she did just enough to win to b in semis for the first time in a Major.....she will play BARTY,,,,BARTY will do it....she won vs a tough opponent KVITOVA....first set was thrilling--tennis at his best---BUT the second was all BARTY...
watch out dark horse PAVLYUCHENKOVA.....she is playing amazing tennis......she will play MUGU tonight and HALEP is on also.

Too bad for MILOS...he is not at this level....DJOKO was too good....Big tennis today......WAWRINKA--ZVEREV and NADAL-THIEM.

That video reminds me, if I recall correctly, that McEnroe, back in 1980 or 1981, at the height of his career, refused an astronomical amount of money (7 figures, which was a lot back then if it is not now) to play at a exhibition match in South African, due to apartheid. The "Self Appointed Tennis Commissioner" video in that link is pretty funny.

Me too, I was rooting for them both. Muguruza will be the heavy favorite, I think. It is really great to see her back at the top where she belongs. And she looked really good, although the match against Halep was difficult.

DJOKO in 3 sets.....no big surprise there...will play THIEM....will cheer for him.

Are you sure? :) Thiem is probably the favorite in the second semifinal, but on a good day Zverev can beat anyone in the world. You just never know with him what to expect.
