Hello Joey,

Yeah, it is pointless and cheap to keep nickel and diming you with spelling, but it is funny. However it does seem to be anally important to others.

Regards,

Korbel

I am going drinking tonight to celebrate.:)

Hello Joe. t,

Actually I like the Red Sox stance on this, and I love the way the Twins are going to make the Yankers pay for him. No way the Sox should include two of their best young star players for Santana. The thing is, if the Yanker get him they become competitive, if the Sox get him they become monsters in the division and the league. So get drunk thinking about that.

Cheers,

Korbel

Interesting piece by Joel Sherman in today's NY Post, edited:

"He is the best," an AL executive said. It could easily be argued that Santana and Josh Beckett are the top two pitchers in the world.

He is the kind of guy who can swing the balance of power in the AL East in 2008 and for years afterward.

Thanks for this interesting piece of article rumples, don't feel too bad after all the Red Sox did sign Old man Schilling.:p

What are we ever going to do??? Joe.T has just been traded to perb for two banner ads and a condom to be named later.

At least that is more than anyone else in this thread, myself included would get in return.

If you ignore the simple fact that Josh Beckett has pitched two teams to WS championships while Santana has not, not even one.

There are rumors afloat that the condom to be named later is used.

When the Yankees complete the trade of Melky Cabrera et al to Minnesota, they will have accomplished several MLB firsts:

1. In Santana, the first $20 M starting pitcher.
2. The first $13.5 M 40 year old catcher.
3. The first $15 M relief pitcher.

But the biggest and bestest of all: in Matsui, Damon, and Abreu, they will feature the very first All DH outfield in major league history.

So Wee Willie Keeler's quote will have to be updated to "Hit it where they ain't and will never be".

Over 65 softball teams have faster outfields.

Well, there is Pettite news. He's back! The timing of his announcement to return is interesting, as he was originally not going to decide until January:

Thanks for the duplicate announcement Beav.

To be honest, I just skimmed his post and only read something about him drinking because the Yankees were going to get Santana. Since they have not gotten Santana, so far, I thought I would put up a post that would let Joe know that his drinking was not all for naught so that if he has a hangover, it is at least a worthwhile hangover and that brain cells got fried for a worthy cause: the re-acquisition of Pettite.:D

Does this mean, with the apparent trade of Santana to the Sox, that you've become a member of the Nation, Joe?

BTW, this from Olney, ""If the Red Sox get Santana," said an executive of one NL team that's grateful to be in the other league, "they might be the best team in the history of the frigging universe.""

The NL executive that said this was your Aunt Gertrude on a bad acid trip in one of your delusional dreams that you had last night you fucking yahoo.

I see that you are getting a little bit smarter as you did not take me up on my offer on the Pats-Ravens game last night.:)
