Fantastic performance by Lester today, a couple of more gems like the one he pitched today should guarantee him a spot at the back end of the rotation in double AA ball.:D
Hello Rumples,

There was a guy at work last year who got himself all puffed up and strutted around like he had just become king of the world all because the Yankers won an exhibition game 15-2 against some other team destined to go nowhere in the season. According to him the Red Sox were garbage because the mighty Yankers had trashed some nobody team. One cannot escape the truly pathetic state of a fool's life when he has to turn something meaningless into his meaning of life...and then harp on such things every day. I guess this means another very silly Joe.GG Ballgame sort of season to deal with AGAIN this year. Well, when your team spends BILLIONS and gets nothing, you tend to focus on whatever pathetic wisp of satisfaction you can find. I'd like to thank our myopic little pal Joe.GG for throwing out the "First Bitch" of the year. Damn...and so many more to come. I think I will get much taller boots to wade through all of the coming crap.

Ich...yuk...hack...vomit,

Korbel

Another gem pitched today by one of the Red Sox so called "prospects" Clay Bustholz, looks like the 10 pounds that he put on did him no good, so far it doesn't look to good for the young Red Sox arms, looks like this guy will be locker buddies with Lester in the minors this year.:(

Yep Doc I agree, I think that the Blue Jays are improved and will finish a distant second behind the Yankees this year.

Apparently, the young Sox pitchers are having trouble getting used to the extra weight caused by their World Series Championship rings.

By the way, you fucking moron, Spring Training is about honing your pitches and getting ready for the season, not trying to prove yourself. In the case of the Yankees, however, after so many years of failure, they have an awful lot to prove and need to get on it as quickly as possible.

BTW, must agree with Doc. With all the good pitching the Jays have, they will be the Sox competition in the east...IF THEY CAN STAY HEALTHY!!!

Her Hot Dreams
Hank Steinboner Becomes Member of Red Sox Nation...lol.

Hello all,

http://www.bostonherald.com/sports/baseball/red_sox/
view.bg?articleid=1077333

After the Yankees’ new Boss, Hank Steinbrenner, complained about “what a bunch of (expletive)” Red Sox Nation is, Sox principal owner John Henry

responded by killing Steinbrenner with kindness. He’s adopting him as one of his own - an offer Steinbrenner has already rejected.

“I’m a big Hank fan,” Henry wrote in an e-mail. “Just to ensure he knows how cool Red Sox Nation is, (Saturday) we officially inducted him as a member of Red Sox Nation and we are sending him his membership card giving him access to an array of options including our newsletter, bumper stickers, pins, Green Monster seats and a hat personally autographed by David Ortiz [stats].”

When told about the offer, Steinbrenner said no thanks.

“I am not joining Red Sox Nation, honorary or not,” Steinbrenner told the New York Post yesterday at Yankees headquarters at Legends Field. “I’ll respond to that later. Trust me, I am not joining Red Sox Nation.”

In the New York Times [NYT]’ Play magazine yesterday, Steinbrenner said, “Red Sox Nation? What a bunch of (expletive) that is. That was a creation of the Red Sox and ESPN, which is filled with Red Sox fans.

“Go anywhere in America and you won’t see Red Sox hats and jackets, you’ll see Yankee hats and jackets,” Steinbrenner told the Times, which owns 17 percent of the Red Sox. “This is a Yankee country. We’re going to put the Yankees back on top and restore the universe to order.”

It’s not the first time in recent weeks Steinbrenner has hurled barbs at the Red Sox. After the release of the Mitchell Report, which named several Yankees but barely touched upon Red Sox involvement, Steinbrenner guaranteed to reporters that the Red Sox had as many steroid users as every other team.

Steinbrenner’s billionaire father, George, turns 78 this summer and has gradually faded from the public eye in the Bronx. Hank has emerged as a chip off the old block, especially when it comes to his father’s long-running feud with the Red Sox. No doubt the Red Sox’ two World Series titles in the last four years have only fueled the Steinbrenner family’s animosity.
Henry, of course, used to be a part owner of the Yankees.

“John is a great guy and my dad always loved him,” said Steinbrenner. “I love him, (my brother) Hal loves him. He has done a tremendous job with the Red Sox. My point was simple: The Yankee brand is the biggest in the country and everybody knows that. There is no dispute. That’s not meant as a cut to the Red Sox. I am not just saying it, it’s the truth. John has done an unbelievable job with the Red Sox brand.”

In an interesting aside that reinforces that there is nothing personal in this latest wave of the ancient rivalry, Steinbrenner mentioned that the clubs could become partners in a business venture.

“I can tell you this, we have a lot in common,” said Steinbrenner. “Red Sox ownership and Yankee ownership has a lot in common and a lot of common interests. You never know, we may end up being partners outside of baseball. The Yankees-Red Sox will always be the greatest rivalry in American sports on the field, but we have a lot in common in a lot of ways.”

John Blake, vice president of media relations, did not know what Steinbrenner was referring to.

You have got to love this. Steingrabber the younger is writhing, squirming, dying with envy after spending several billion since 2000 to win a World Series and he is so damn frustrated all he can do is use expletives against the nationwide growth of Red Sox Nation and the shrinking of Yanker fairyland. John Henry just holds his trophies, laughs off Hank`s pitiful jibes and pities the poor fool, then sympathetically makes him a meber of a Real Team. Can`t you just see Steinmoney`s butt hole tightening up so much he`s going to need surgical release from now on. Meanwhile Red Sox Nation is laughing their ass off at the desperation the new Yanker boss shows with his useless spewing.

By the way, look at the picture of Stank Steinboner in this article. What a mean trick someone played on him. His head looks like someone took an old flower sack and stuffed it with pudding, then plopped on down on some sloppy body, but forgot to put in a neck. Then they added this outrageous ly constipated face. I give Stank the Involuntarily Impersonating Jabba the Hut Award. What talent this guy has....and how ugly.

I do pity Stankyboner a bit though. It is a very beautiful trophy. I got to see it, and touch it, and get my picture taken with it when the Red Sox sent it on a tour of New England and it arrived in the town where I work in March of 2005. HEY..I guess that means I have seen it more recently than Stanky or any Yanker. Hello guys...it was wonderful...lol.

bwahahahahahaha,

Korbel

Here`s a gift for you Joe.GG. A Red Sox Nation membership card is ready for YOU!

Another so called Red Sox "prospect" choked the chicken yesterday, sure is a clear indication to me that the Sox farm system is way behind the Yankees, I would be worried if I were Theo.
I think we can reasonably deduce from the simple fact that Theo isn't a fucking moron®, that you aren't Theo.

By the way, which prospect are you talking about? The only Sox prospect who pitched yesterday was Michael Bowden and he did just fine, thank you.

Another Sox "prospect" who threw quite well was our new bargain, Bartolo Colon. The Yankees are going to be sorry they let him get past them.

Huh?, he threw 42 pitches to Mirabelli during a bullpen session, I guess that must be a pitching gem in your delusional eyes:rolleyes:.

Does anybody know what the law is on glue sniffing?, if it is illegal or not, just wondering.

You are a fucking moron®, Joe. Where did I say he threw a gem? Again, he threw quite well in a bullpen session. Pitching coach John Farrell, who turned down a chance to manage the Yankees this winter, said that he exceeded expectations and is ahead of schedule.

On the other hand, the corpse of Mike Mussina got his ass handed to him yesterday.

Carl Pavano was seen playing catch today with his son, he gave his dad a big thumbs up and told him that he will win the CY Young one day.

After today's no hitter I'd say the Yankees are ready, Hank sure looks like a genius, Hughes for CY Young?.

Hughes looked great today in THE ONE INNING THAT HE PITCHED. None of the rest of the pitchers who participated in this "no-hitter" will ever pitch for the Yankees, you fucking moron®.

That said, were I you, Joe, I'd take my pleasure where I can get it. God only knows, you won't get much when it really counts.

Hey Joe, how did Cy Chamberlain do today? Oh and it looks like Edwar Ramirez is picking up right where he left off at the end of last season! Bwaaahh!!!

Let me see, 14 hits and 2 earned runs in 26 innings dating back to last year, looks to me like he's ready for the big leagues.

Notice how my MVP pick Cano is absolutly on fire, 3 for 3 today and a batting average of .700.:)

As are Lester & Buckholz! You don't seem to be basing things on last year when you want to state how awful the Sox' Lester and Buckholz are doing though. Yea, one won the WS for the Sox and other threw a no hitter last year.

Instead you harp on their less than stellar first spring training starts which have no meaning whatsoever. That's the reason I asked you how Joba did today...answer...he sucked!!!

Chamberlain 2.0innings 2hits 2runs 2earned 1W 1K 1HR ERA-9.00

And how's Edwar Ramirez??? Bwahh!!

This isn't a fair comparison as Chamberlain didn't have the opportunity to win the WS for the Yankees, although he might have if he hadn't sucked in the ALDS.

Also K, I think you should get off Joe's case. Let him boast all he wants about Yankee performance in Spring Training. The real season will start soon enough and Joe will be back in the closet.

Hello Rumples,

That would be the same closet sealed for sound so mommy can't hear Joe.GG admiring his full length poster of A-Rod.

Papelbon-among-18-Red-Sox-with-new-deals

Good news. "Papelbon agreed Thursday to a $775,000, one-year contract, nearly doubling his salary." Earlier reports suggested Papelbon sought $900,000 while the Sox were offering in the neighborhood of $550,000 at first. Nice to have that drama resolved.

Cheers,
