Where's big Joe. t, my buddy? Just like another Yankit fan I know he is silent when the news is bad. Especially when it stays bad. Damon 1-5 at .245 and Coco 1-4 but had 2 RBIs and is averaging a very robust .282. Wakefield was excellent, Pettitte was not. You are lucky a former Sox player (Myers) got one game for you tonight. Well 8 isn't too bad Joe. It's just going in the WRONG DIRECTION...LOL!

Alex Rodriguez struck out three times and remains at 499 homers, and though the Yanks rallied in the ninth, with Jorge Posada belting a two-run homer, they lost to the Orioles, 7-5, for their third straight defeat.

Left-handed rookie Brian Burres put together his best performance of the year, holding the Yanks to one run on three hits and striking out seven, two fewer than his career best.

AND HERE'S THE NEWS TONIGHT: Roger Clemens pitched another fabulous game completely dominating the plate with his pin point pitches and striking out 14...catching 5 batters looking. His pitches reached the intimidating speed of 98 mph causing opposition batters to look like they were swatting at flies. Clemens looks like he is well on his way to his first ever Cy Young Award...what...he now leads the Red Sox and the Majors with 16 wins...wait...Red Sox??? Damn...where did this old game report from 1986 come from.

HERE'S THE REAL NEWS: The Boston Red Sox broke out of a tie game with 6 runs in the 12th inning to move 9 GAMES ahead of the Yankers who lost AGAIN with Roger Clemens, their $28,000,000 pitcher, on the mound who fell to 3-5 after another dismal performance. Johnny Damon falied to contribute AGAIN going 0-4 for as he has so many time before. Yankers fans are also still waiting for A-Rodless, the highest paid player in baseball, to hit the currently elsuive 500th home run of his career. It was ANOTHER very bad day in Yankersville...God bless them.

In a related story...Joe. T has not shown his face during the latest Yankers skid and, like the groudhog, is expected to stay in hiding until the sun shines in the oversize barn that Ruth built.

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (AP) — After Jonny Gomes spoiled Jon Lester's bid for his second straight win since rejoining the Red Sox, Boston rallied with six runs in the 12th inning to beat the Tampa Bay Devil Rays 12-6 on Saturday night.
Gomes tied it at 6 with a two-run shot in the ninth off Red Sox closer Jonathan Papelbon, but Julio Lugo drew his second bases-loaded walk and Kevin Youkilis followed with a three-run double in Boston's big 12th inning.

Lester, whose rookie season ended last year when he was diagnosed with lymphoma, gave up four runs and six hits in 6 2-3 innings. The 23-year-old left-hander left the game with a 5-4 lead, after going six innings last Monday to lead the Red Sox to a 6-2 win over the Cleveland Indians.

It was Papelbon's second blown save in 25 chances, the other coming May 1 against Oakland.

Mike Lowell had a one-out single in the 12th off Brian Stokes (2-7), who then loaded the bases with consecutive walks to Jason Varitek and Coco Crisp. After Lowell was forced at the plate on Alex Cora's grounder, Lugo walked to put Boston up 7-6. Jae Kuk Ryu replaced Stokes and gave up Youkilis' double to deep right-center and a two-run double to Manny Ramirez.

Kyle Snyder (2-2) threw two scoreless innings for the win, helping the Red Sox take a nine-game lead over the New York Yankees in the AL East. New York lost 7-5 at Baltimore.

I think that would've put the final nail in the coffin of the Yankees, and hopefully they will still be able to work out some type of agreement.

We may have a Joe T sighting for you. There was break in at the Steinbrenner estate early this morning around 1:37 am. Unknown to the intruder Mr. Steinbrenner was not there luckily. He and the Yankees GM Brian Cashman were pulling an overnighter at the stadium working on stealing the best players before the trade deadline. Astonishingly, the intruder had free run of the estate for about 42:00, as the New York Police seemed unresponsive to the incident, allowing the intruder to eventually find his way to Mr. Steinbrenner's trophy room displaying photos of him with every individual player he ever stole. The frustrated would be assassin shot separate photos of Mr. Steinbrenner with Roger Clemens and Johnny Damon, deficated on the owner's chair and desk, broke several framed signing pens, spray painted the phrase "STEINBRENNER MUST DIE" in letters 6 feet tall on a Persia rug worth $480,000, and wrote "LOSER" and "SISSY" all over a 12 feet tall marble statue of A-Rod. Of course this could be the work of any enraged Yankers fan considering the millions of possibilities. But terrified servants reported hearing the intruder crying loudly while moaning a disjointed unintelligible phrase repeatedly that they say sounded like...

Nothing at all against you Joelcairo, but Canseco is vermin. I would almost put up the morals of the lowliest street walker or pimp against him. He made a career out of lies and deception while bilking the fans and the sports world in supreme bad faith. That may not set him apart from any other player who has allegedly done the same. But now he is using his knowledege of others as another financial gusher founded once more on his mercenary lack of scruples. I don't believe in the "RAT" idea that a squealer is the worse thing possible. That only empowers the parasites of society. However, when someone seeks to squeeze the greatest profits out of his own sins and immense hypocrisy, he may be the greatest WHORE of all. Unfortunately for the truth, or what anyone might credit as the truth from him, his knowledge may provide a break into the worse scandal in sports history. It's just too bad it will be coming from such a mercenary animal.

I have no admiration for Canseco, and his motivation was obviously profit and not justice. But then how many of us do our jobs for altruistic motives? Obviously most of us do our jobs for "the slimey money," though most of us wouldn`t call it "whoring." (That`s the ladies job! )

I don`t admire his motivations or his character, but I reiterate that he told the truth, and none of us would be as well informed about the steriod situation if he hadn`t done so. Not a defense -- just a description of his actions.
