Get Well Iron Mike!

Yea, agreed Doc, those guys with tempers are a walking disaster, to themselves....they need to not take things so seriously, chill and have a good time, life is way too short, dont worry, be "hoppy maaaan"
Considering the temper he has, i'm surprised it's only the first time he's suffered a stroke.

Joe.t's legendary picks for this week-

Oakland +6 over New Orleans.
Detroit +4.5 over Green Bay.
Tampa Bay -2.5 over Carolina.

And my sure shot pick of the week is really a no brainer, Indianapolis +9.5 over that overrated team with the worst secondary in football(New England), anybody who is picking New England to cover obviously does not know the sport of football very well, also any team from a state that produced the Red Sox and Mit Romeny is destined to lose, I nailed this pick big time last week.

Yeah well, if you count those break even weeks as a positive, like this week...only you would. DOH!
Well, considering Joe.T's sad history, a break-even week counts as a big plus.

Hthe Patriots have had the sad talent for making bad quarterbacks look good. While Andrew Luck may be a long way from being polished he has the skill right now to do more damage than the bums who have feasted on the Patriots secondary.

I agree that the Patriots' secondary isn't very good, but the fact they have no pass rush is making the secondary look worse than it actually is. When opposing QB's have as much time in the pocket as they have against the Pats, its not that hard to pick the secondary apart.

Great comeback by the Tony Romo and Dez Bryant led Dallas Cowboys... Bryant is on his way to becoming the best WR in the game and had a breakout game, well on his way to his first pro bowl at a young 24 yrs of age, the sky's the limit for this guy if he can keep his ten cent head in check.

Joe, so far up $60 with all the picks you sent my way, not too sure about the new england game, but the Denver game and late game could push that over $100, even if i lose the patriot game.... all in all another good week so far from you, keep up the good work my man :thumb:

Glad to hear you're making up some of your losses, but you're never gonna get rich on those $10 bets, iggy, and you'll sure have a hard time with the tab at L'Avenue.

Huh  small time betting is a hobby and is done for the fun of it, never set out to get rich off it. Last i knew tho $60 was more than enuf for steak and eggs at L'Avenue, heck i even have enuf left over to buy Joe and Doc breakfast as well.... you can come 2, might have enuf left for a skewer of fruit for ya pal

Colts are hanging with the pats so far.... Andrew Luck is gonna be a superstar the way he is going, if they put a team around him, the Colts are gonna see many many good years coming.

Hello all,

Ish, the Patriots have had the sad talent for making bad quarterbacks look good. While Andrew Luck may be a long way from being polished he has the skill right now to do more damage than the bums who have feasted on the Patriots secondary. This could easily be a long losing game if the same blue and silver backfield defense shows up again. If Aqib Talib isn't ready to make an impact Luck could go over 350 yards. With so little on field training, only since Monday, Talib's playing time could be very small. No prediction here.

My picks:

http://www.footballlocks.com/nfl_lines.shtml

New Orleans -5 over the festering suckfest in Oakland.

Baltimore -3.5 over Pittsburgh

Tampa Bay -1.5 over Carolina

Cheers,

Merlot

Not one pick against the spread, GUTLESS!!!!!

Nice work, Joe. Too bad they didn't give you 35 1/2 points. Guess this proves that you're a no-brainer, eh?

What the hell was Belichick thinking having his star tight end blocking on an extra point attempt with the game nearly over & the Pats leading by 5 touchdowns!!! Now he's lost for the entire regular season, if not more!!!

Hmmm,

I've never liked Belichicks habit of keeping his best players in the game long after the opponents have any chance to win. Of course with the way the defense has played for the last two years at least, certainty about winning the game has been rare. As it was pointed out on WEEI, special teams are often critical. Sparing quality players for 2nd stringers or worse on special teams can easily mean throwing away big opportunities or taking huge fatal risks, so it makes sense to keep very capable players out there. When I think of the Patriots Super Bowl victories, two by late field goals, what would it have cost to have a breakdown on special teams then? Answer: everything.

However, despite the very long odds of any serious injury happening on an extra point, with a 58-24 lead at the time I too have to ask... BILL...WHAT THE FUCK!!!!! Still, the Patriots have enough weapons to get through it all well enough, though Houston and San Francisco would have been very tough anyway.

Well, the other excellent tight end Hernandez comes back this week, but it would have been awesome to have both. WTF BILL?????????? There's always a risk so why risk a big loss for no freaking rational reason.

Joe, New England isn't Oakland. We have depth, not pussies like the Raiders.

We will see how much depth the overrated pussies have this weekend against the Jets, I personally think that the Jets will cream the Pats, just remember in their last meeting, if it wasn't for a dropped pass late in the game by the Jets receiver that led to a field goal instead of a TD(Beav can attest to this) the Patrioits would have lost, go Rex Ryan!!!!, you are my hero for hating the Patriots so much.:thumb:

My picks today:

All visiting teams.

Houston (-4) over Detroit, Washington (+3.5) over Dallas, New England (-7.5) over NY Jets.

Reasons: Houston is simply too good & my pick to go to the AFC final. Washington's offense is great & Tony Romo sucks. New England will walk all over the Jets & Mark Sanchez sucks.

If I was your lawyer I would strongly advise you to reverse this pick, New England is not the same without Gronkowski and it will show big time in this game, you just watch, also their defense is pathetically inept, Rex Ryan will have his boys fired up for this one, Jets take this one straight up, guaranteed.

Their defense might be inept, but the Jets offense is also inept. The Pats offense is the #1 rated offense in the league. The Jets defense isn't the same without Revis. Plus, i hate Rex Ryan!

Not without Gronkowski, you will find out tonight.

BTW- Not only do I hate Belicheat and the Patriots but I also hate the whole state of Massachusetts, it is the unfriendliest, rudest state that I have ever been too, the only reason that I set foot there is to visit my relatives who I can't stand, SK is the only person in the whole state that I like and I would like him a lot better if he moved to a different state.:(
