LOL,

At least i cheer for my teams year round, not for a week out of the whole year like someone?

Aren't you tired of telling other teams what they should do when your team doesn't even give you a place in the playoffs ?

He's playing with the Bruins... You know the team you said that lost in the deal made with TO's Burkie ?

Telling other teams what to do when yours can't make the playoffs for 6 years straight is called "Loser's Advice".

How can any real hockey fan think four rounds of NHL playoffs can be finished in a "week"??? Can't even read a calendar...or count from mid-April to mid-June...lol. It still won't stop Iggy from pissing in every hockey thread year round either knocking down everyone else or worshiping at the altar of Burke.

Don't tell Iggy that winning the Stanley Cup is the goal. He still thinks finishing 21st means Burke out-smarted the current CHAMPION BRUINS. Oh...thanks for the 9th pick overall, Igly. That's showing us...snicker, chordal, guffaw.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6cr89xbl26g
I love this...Bwaha.

If you loved that you will die over this amazing future Bruins trick shot...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6TxGVSw6Ayw&NR=1&feature=fvwp

BTW... Mod 8 shouldn't this thread be closed too ?
...before some Bruins fan starts playin with my quotes to go fish ?

 Not at all, i didnt make the moves JFJ made, nor Fletcher and sorry, i wish i could take credit for when Burke gets us back in the playoffs and contending for a cup, but that also i cannot take credit for when it happens, but i can support my team 365 24/7 and not just for one month out of 39 years. Its called being a REAL and TRUE fan, win or lose, not a bandwagon or fairweather fan like someone.

So, tell me this, who do you like at #9?

The Smurfs are a huge success at Movie theatres this weekend!

images

OH, not those Smurfs .............:thumb:

Let's hear what SCOTTIE Gomez had to say about his starring role as Papa Smurf.

"I am very pleased in my performance in this movie, if only i could say the same about my play in La Belle Province. I showed that i am a great actor in this movie, just like i did with the NJ Devils years ago, i acted my way to a $8 million a season payday from the Rangers, then Sather took acting lessons from me to sell Montreal on what a great fit i would be, then i went on to score a whopping 7 goals last season and act like i am a team leader of Les Habitants on the ice, nevermind when i am laughing and joking on the bench when we are getting our butts handed to us, i am Scottie Gomez, aka Movie Star... i am entitled ....who wants my autograph? Anyone? It's free!, ANYONE!!!, Dammit! Hey kid, you must want an autograph? What the hell do you mean NO!, you little *******"

I sincerely believe that Scott Gomez is the worst NHL player I have ever seen.

If I notice him at all when watching a game, it seems that I invariably see him receiving a pass in the neutral zone and then weakly tipping it in to the opponent`s defensive zone, too panicky even to look to make a pass, as soon as an opposing player is within 5 meters of him. He then does a few figure eights far from the play, taking particular care to stay away from the crease.

I doubt if there is anyone outside the Douglas hospital who thinks that Gomez, by NHL standards, earns his salary. I`m curious: Are there any HABs fans who would want him on the team at the NHL minimum salary?

I believe the fact he's grossly overpaid makes him appear worse than he actually is. Give him a $2.5 million contract & most observers would agree that he's worth his contract. But finding out he's being paid $7.5 million per season makes you wonder if the people paying him this contract shouldn't consider paying a visit to their shrink?

Anyways, the habs have tried to trade him for the past two seasons & haven't been able to find a sucker....oops, i meant to say 'taker'. He's untradable & the team is basically stuck with him, unless they peddle him to Hamilton, which won't happen since he's still one of their best centers (that's how sad it's been for the habs at the center position). Scott Gomez' biggest problem is between the ears. He's often found partying it up until the wee hours at various St-Laurent nightclubs between games & until he stops this nonsense once & for all, he'll continue to under-perform on the ice.

What must irritate the habs brass is the fact Glen Sather is still gloating about the 'fast one' he pulled on Bob Gainey three years ago. Not only did he found a sucker to get him off his hands, but he also wound up with Chris Higgins, Ryan McDonaugh & Pavel Valetenko (the top two of three habs defence prospects at the time) for him. A world-class heist!!

Yea, the Screen Actors Guild called and said i was getting a nomination for that masterpiece. They said most likely it will win as best Hab SLAM of the year and i would be honored at the SAG awards next January in LA. I said i will only give a speech if i can bring exhibit A,........... Scottie!!!!!!!

They said please do, we are a stuffy bunch and need a good laugh.... Scottie, Pack your bags! :thumb:

He he ! what do I find on Merb coming back ?
Doc with more pictures of guys... :)

Isn't it special to see people gloathing about trades when in fact their team got worse ?
TO can't get over their trade on Kaberle with the Bruins but... the Bruins won the cup while TO finished in the gutter.

3 years ago Rangers were ahead of the Habs, and since the Gomez trade (even if it was a stupid one) the Habs finished in front 2 years in a row.

As you said "Absolutely Hilarious!!!"

Welcome back JH! (you come back the same day as cairo, hmmmmmmm, you 2 vacation buds?)

I would not say the habs got worse, i mean they did add Cole, and even tho there is nobody close to Eric Staal on the habnots, he should still be able to chip in 30 points or so, thats exactly what Benoit P gave you last year and he has been "shipped off to Boston". Your Big money guys in cammy, gionta, and gomez are not getting any younger and plekanecs can not do it all by himself. Your bright spot of course is Carey Price and big mouth subban. (who should get his yapper silenced this yr by someone, that i would bet the farm on if he continues acting like he is playing a pick up basketball game in the inner city of Philadelphia) Markov is another hit away from ending another season early if not his career, Hal Gil is a pylon who moves at warp speed, NOT!, more like turtle speed. Emelin is thought of as the second coming of Serge Savard by blinder wearing hab fans yet has never played one single game in the NHL. Georges is also coming off a major injury. Ok, so maybe you did get worse LOL.

Habs sign the good one

MONTREAL - The Canadiens plugged the final hole in their development system with the hiring of Ron Wilson as Clement Jodoin’s assistant with the Hamilton Bulldogs of the American Hockey League.

Wilson is no stranger to the Canadiens’ organization or to the Bulldogs. He was selected by the Canadiens in the 1976 NHL entry draft and he played 14 seasons in the NHL with the Winnipeg Jets, St. Louis Blues and Canadiens. He registered 326 points (110 goals, 216 assists) in 832 regular season games and added 22 points (10 goals, 12 assists) in 63 playoff games.

The Toronto native has a long history as a coach in the AHL and he served as an assistant to Don Lever with the Bulldogs from 2003-04 to 2008-09. During his tenure, the Canadiens won the Calder Cup in 2006-07 with rookie goaltender Carey Price earning most valuable player honours. He took over as head coach of the Bulldogs later in the 2008-09 season when Lever was added to the Canadiens staff and he had a 10-3-2 record.

In 2010-2011, Wilson completed his second season as assistant coach of the Chicago Wolves and his 15th season as assistant coach in the AHL. During his two-year tenure, the Wolves posted an 88-54-6-12 record (.606) in 160 regular season games. Chicago ranked first in the West Division in 2009-2010.

Before joining the Bulldogs in 2003-2004, Wilson was the assistant coach of the AHL’s Springfield Falcons (1996-1997 to 1999-2000) and the Saint John Flames (2000-2001 to 2002-2003). He served as a head coach of the Flames in 2002-2003, maintaining a 22-22-4-0-0 record (.500) in 48 regular season games. He won the Calder Cup during his first season with the Flames in 2000-2001.

Hi guys: On Mod 8's instructions from another thread, I'm just dropping in here to this official free for all thread to remind everyone that the leafs still suck big time. How long before ownership smartens up and puts Burkie and Wilson on a one-way ticket to Siberia?

Welcome back (again) cairo.... maybe if you had something to say in general about hockey once in awhile, in the NON flame Hockey threads, you would stick around longer, pfft just saying.

For once in a long time i can honestly say the Leafs are going forward while your scapegoat team, the red wings are in decline or even rebuild mode. OUCH! thats gotta sting, eh 'cairo' :D

You've been saying this for years...and for ALL those years the Wings have remained an elite team while the leafs have continued to suck - in fact as GHG pointed out in his last post before going on vacation, the BEST year the leafs had in the last four was the one just BEFORE Burkie took over. Yup, it sure HAS become Burkie's team! (In other words, useless blowhards just like the big boss and the few remaining fans of Canada's National Embarrassment.)

By the way, good luck to Rick Vaive.

Thank you, sometimes the truth hurts but feels OH SO damn good to say!

*****NEWSFLASH***** Scottie Gomez it seems has been offered a new film deal to return as the lovable character, PAPA SMURF..... Details about the sequel to this summers smash hit have yet to be revealed, but ole Scottie is hard at work on the hunt for a top line centre to replace himself since he will be taking a leave of absence from his 'normal' job as a Sucky Montreal Canadien. When asked where on earth would he be able to find anyone at this late stage of the summer offseason, with training camp just around the corner, to replace him, he simply replied "I'm trying to talk Beliveau out of the retirement home, he may not be able to hit anyone, but hell, neither did i, and he for sure can score at least as good as myself last year, in fact i bet Jean could net at least 8 goals to my 7"

(supposedly, Beliveau said if Scottie Smurf gets 8 million a year for 7 goals, then he is holding out for 9 mil.)

Very well said, Iggy. Very well said. And so true! :D

I'm sure you can do better than that Doc !
We all know you have tons of Gomez pics on your wall !

And usually a repeated obsession like this; hides the reality which is in this case... TO's long history of bad trades.
Here's a prediction : As soon as one Leaf starts to score a bit in the first 2 weeks; this will be regarded as the deal of the century by Leaf's fan out here !

Can't wait in 'begging to differ' with you guys :)
