Sorry, let me educate you a lil eh...:) unlike habs fans, i live in the now and future, meaning i already know there is no cup for them in early 2012, thus 19 years ....;) educating a cairo 101, complete for today :thumb:

Leafs lost and i am glad they got trounced last night, they needed it as they were getting to cocky, watch what happens in the next 5 games boys and girls. Every team gets blown out a few times in a long 82 game season, even the great teams who have went on to win the Cup.

Looks like both your teams are in for LONG seasons this year cairo... but i think your scapegoat team has a better shot at success than the habs do. good luck me boy!

Remedial Math Class: Class, please look at this subtraction example and try to remember the answer. Here goes:

2011 - 1993 = 18. Please note, class: 18, NOT 19.

unlike habs fans,

Wrong thread to be referring to the pride of Canada. :nono:

i live in the now and future

If I were a Leaf fan I'd repress my memories of the past like a catholic altar boy forced to wear adult diapers for the rest of his life does too.

Of course, you are our resident expert on child abuse.

Yup and as such I say this kid's parents should be put behind bars for 25 to life. :D

Tim Connolly's injured AGAIN?

Gee who could have seen THAT one coming - I mean, apart from anyone who knows even the slightest thing about hockey.

The guy's been in the league since 1999 and he's only played a little over 600 games...with more than HALF of those in his first four seasons! The last time he played a full season was a decade ago! He's averaged a mere 50 games a season since the lockout! The guy spends more time in the hospital than the doctors and nurses who work there.

Good signing Burkie - what's the matter, was Eric Lindros unavailable?

"What can I tell you that's new between yesterday and now?" he said, laughing. "OK, how about this: I'm a big believer that if you do good things, good things happen. I think, over time, that's the case. We lost six games in a row, I guess, the year we won the Cup (in 2008), but in saying that, I've never had a team that played this way and lost. So we've just got to stick with it.

"The other thing is I'm a big believer that you focus on the process. You don't win by focusing on winning. You win by focusing on the process, being good on the forecheck, being good in your own zone, being diligent and going about your own business. If you're a scorer and you're not scoring and you focus on scoring, you ain't going to score. Focus on getting in the right spot. Focus on taking the body. Focus on getting to the net. Focus on shooting the puck. Do the little things right, and everything looks after itself."

Thanks for posting this excellent quote from Mike Babcock Doc.

Some people might say that you placed it in the wrong thread but I will rush to your defence: Quite obviously, the point you are making is that a top-notch organization like the Wings (best ownership by far, best mangement by far, best record over the past two decades by far, classiest veterans by far, second best GM of all time next to only Sam Pollock, and one of the best current NHL coaches) never panics and always approaches every situation with logic, fairness and complete intelligence.

Clearly you are presenting this as the antithesis of the way Leaf Nation falls to pieces whenever anything goes wrong (which sadly for Leaf Nation is just about all the time). As such, your excellent quote definitely has a place in this thread and I applaud you for your wise use of counterpoint to definitively illustrate the huge differences between the NHL's best organization and one of its longtime abysmal failures. Well done sir!

Well well, maybe Alice has finally emerged from the looking glass.
You'll want to be saving these quotes from the Leaf fans for later in the season, JC. It does seem that they are playing like, well, the Leafs again.

A careful look at the standing show that their win-loss record is a)misleading, a mirage and is b) unsustainable. For one, the Leafs lead the Conference in goals allowed. For two, the only teams in the conference with worse goal differentials are the Islanders, Ottawa, Carolina and Winnipeg. What this means is that the Leafs have been playing in serious good luck. Unfortunately for them, luck catches up with you and it appears that the Leafs are well on their way to a 10th place finish, which would, however, give them a better than average finish...for them. It also does suggest that they are better than even money to make the playoffs before the decade is out. I'm also going to go out on a limb an predict a Stanley Cup for the Leafs before the end of the century.

Considering the avatar you chose to have....of a child sucking a cock.....i'm actually not sure who should be put behind bars.

Seriously, i hope you don't fall asleep at night fantasizing about a young child sucking your cock. I truly hope not.

p.s. Is your alma mater Penn State?

I think the funniest post in this thread is Rumples posting in the hockey thread......a sport he knows absolutely nothing about. I'm not even going to bother answering or replying to his post. Hillarious!

One doesn't need to know about hockey in order to analyze the numbers. In fact, when doing statistical analysis, one might be better off not knowing the sport he's analyzing as the vision will be clearer. One doesn't need to know about hockey to know that the Leafs W-L record isn't supported by their statistical performance.

The simple reason you're not going to bother answering is that you can't refute what I'm saying. You may choose to play the role of a clown in the baseball thread, but I'm not going to emulate you here. The Leafs are headed into the toilet, as usual, and you are as well aware of it as I am.

I may play the role of a clown on an internet board where everyone there has fake names & pretends to be what they're not, but at least i don't play a delusional clown in real life.

Based upon things you've told me, I would rethink that statement. Or take it up with a qualified professional.

Ah!!!! Ol' Rumples can't take the heat when it's thrown back at him, so he's resorting to getting personal......what a surprise! ;)

When I look at my avatar all I see is Komi negotiating a contract extension with Burkie. :D

The fact you see a child sucking a cock tells me more about yourself than I really want to know. In fact it's not even the first time you post about it. Why so strangely obsessed with it? Maybe you should take rumpleforeskin's advice and get the professional help you desperately need. :noidea:

As for Penn State no I was not educated there, not my style at all. (You must have me confused with one of your former coworkers at Maple Leaf Gardens from back in the early eighties.)

There is something drastically wrong with a person who enjoys having an avatar of a young male sucking off another male. Just saying. Are you into gay porn also?
