Not an ounce of Patriot hate in me, I actually love them to death because they made me $320.00, now what do I do with the coinage, see a SP for two hours or buy a ringside seat to the Serra vs ST.Pierre fight, decisions decisions.

Hello Joe.t,

Congrats. You do realize though that the hourly rate to call for a Yankee is quite a bit higher. Although, with the troubles Clemens is having he probably would be happy to get a gig of any sort...lol. :D

Bronx cheers,

No Hatroic in the house.

I don't Hate the Pats. I applauded them for going for a near perfect season. What I can't stand is fans and sport commentators crowning Bellichick as the god of all coaches and Brady as the best of the best before the game is being play. You may not see it but Bellichick is a major A-hole. In life history will mark the outcome of anyone even sport figures. This defeat will go down in epic proportion.
I don't doubt the love of the Beantown from all you Pats homer. But to diminish the hard work of the Giants is for me nothing more than being a sore loser. Be gracious in defeat as you are in victory. I've seen all the Pats fan talking shit when your team kicked everyone asses during the season. Now that you got your teeth kicked in it hurts and being very defensive about it. It happens, learn from it move on.
Many of you talked down on me because I haven't been on this board as long as you. I don't think my longivity on this board has anything to do with my opinion of the subject. It is my opinion , and much like yours, everyone is entitled to have one right or wrong. ( I think it's call freedom of speech.) I didn't come on this to trash the Pats. I just mentioned that it was a good game, and that the Giant brought more intensity to the game then the Pats. I'm from the westcoast so I really Can't stand the Giants either. ( God knows all the Jersey boys and Giant's wannabee fans are coming out of the closets now.)
Your point was the coach didn't have any faith for the kicker. An idiot from Poland would have told you to kick the damn ball and pin the opposing team behind the 20 yard lines and not go for it. I can understand if it was 4th and inches or even 4th and 3 or 5. Or it's the 4th quarter and you need it to win or tie the game. You hate to admit it, but by going for it Bellichick shows that he has no respect for the Giant's defense he basically said to them we are going to make this and you can't stop us. ( thus my reason to call him arrogance.) When you disrespect the other team you give them more ammo and focus to play harder agaisnt you. Not that they need any more inspiration because they were the underdog. Pats is the better team going in to the game. At the end of the day they were not the better team because if they were the Lambardi trophy would have been in beantown and they could go down in history as one of the greatest team. Now they will be known as the biggest choaker in NFL history. I can undertand your frustrations in losing, hell if the Pats were my team I'll be bitching like a 12 years old girl as well. It's a great season for the Pats they have done what no other team has done in a very long time and almost had a perfect season.
I have many Dolphins friends hating on the Pats. At the end of the day they were out played and out coached. Bellichick and the Pats didn't come to play and the result shows. So before you think I'm hating on the Pats, which I'm not, take a hard look at your team. Under the biggest stage and the biggest game they didn't show up. As great as this season is for them it was a dissapointment. It hurts to have your teeth kicked in and getting punched in the mouth. But great teams find ways to win when giving adversity and obstacles. Clearly for the time being the Pats have not EARNED that title.
p.s Remind me to send you a private message Special K when I need some writting lessons.

Pookiebear,

I don't think a 49 yard field goal is automatic, even in good conditions. I think you may be reading way more into this than it deserves. Belichik made a decision and it proved to be not a very good one. If he had gone for the field goal and missed, it would have basically been the same result, and Pats fans would have been mad that he had not gone for a first down. Given that his team scored the most points in NFL history, he had reason to have confidence in it as opposed to lack of respect for the Giants D.

I personally feel Belichik was outcoached and one reason why was he deferred too much to a 28 year old offensive coordinator who, after the Pats realized their running game was shut down, kept calling the same screen plays. The Giants had the Pats well scouted and as previously noted, Spagnuolo outcoached the Pats O-coordinator who failed to make the adjustments necessary to win the game. The Giants defensive pressure was a constant the whole game.

This morning I heard that this Super Bowl was the second most watched TV event in U.S. history, surpassed only by the series finale of the classic TV show M.A.S.H. in 1983.

Hello Pookie,

So where do you think that image comes from. The media. They create these perceptions for profits. Did you ever hear any of the Patriots or their coaches say anything as arrogant as what the media intentionally makes them out to be. NO! I have seen and read just about everything and I have almost never seen this attitude anywhere in this organization since Bellichick arrived...with few individual exceptions.

Bellichick may be an anally intense A-hole. That often to be a character trait of intensely driven people. Oh well. I don't like the way he handles his relations with his former fellow coaches. It's so damn poor. But, it seems to come with his great coaching skills unfortunately.

As for the Giants, hey, great job. They found and used a strategy that worked. That took skill and guts. But their trash talking over the top circus crap for two weeks was just sickening. It reminds me of the kind of show that moron Namath put on sitting there in his over-size black sunglasses and thick white fur coat on the team bench druing a game. Geeeez, how I hate flamboyant egotism and trash talk.

One funny thing though. Some younger people around here were getting the idea that our teams were invincible. Having been a fan of the Red Sox and Patriots for many years I had to go through all the bad times. If there is anything good about this loss for New England fans it's the dose of reality young fans got. Frankly, I thought they were too spoiled. As I told one, "what did you think would happen? That's why they play the game".

Toodles,

Korbel

PS

Some "real geniuses" are still voting here after the game...yeah, good guess.

Kudos.

Kudos to you Korbel for given some props to the Giants. That is all I'm saying. Like I mentioned before The Pats had a great season. No one can take it away from them I wish I would have seen history in the making but that is why they "Play the game." Believe me I've seen that Pats going through their trying years I dont know whom was the worst them or Tampa Bay  . I was so glad when Steve Young signed with the 49ers that poor guy was getting kill every sunday. Beav you are right about the field goal situation but if I would have punt it and play field position for the next posession. ( maybe Monday QB but that would have been the more logical approach.) It was a great game overall the swithching of leads and the closeness of the game was a very competetive edge and a nail biter. ( I know some of my Pat's friend want it to be a blow out. Boring.) Pat have a good nucleus and they'll be back next year. I just hope Seau has one more in him. He's a hall of fame LB and I would love for him to get one to sign off his resume. If I have offended any of the Pat's fan I'm sorry. We can agree to disagree. Maybe next year my Packers will get a shot at it and if we lose I'll take all the smack and bite my tounge.
Peace Out:p

Facts are there may be some improper conducts on the coaching staff. Bottom line is this . You stil have to play the game. Knowing what the plays are still will not make one perfect or imperfect. Tackles have to be made, catches have to be made and the amount of athletics has to be accounted for. As much as I bag them on the last couple of replies it is hard for any professional team to win as many games as they did. You have to remember everyone was gunning for them every week. There is only so much a coach can coach the team players have to execute.

I disagree, it makes it a lot harder to win the game when the other team is illegally stealiing your signals, why do you think that Belicheat and the Pats were fined $750 G's and a loss of a first round pick plus the fact that evidence has been destroyed, the facts are that the Patrioits have been dirty cheats all these years no matter how many spins Korbel puts on it, after all he is from Massachusetts home of the dirty cheating Patriots.

Spygate Not Going Away

It appears that the Patriots this offseason will not only be dealing with the sting of their painful loss, but a continued investigation into Spygate:

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3231375

Apparently the Boston Herald is reporting that an unnamed source (likely, ex Pats employee Matt Walsh) indicated the team took unauthorized video of a practice by the St. Louis Rams prior to the Super Bowl in 2002. The spying was on the Rams' practice of red zone offense. The Rams ran 7 red zone offensive plays late in the 4th quarter of that Super Bowl and were stymied on those plays by the Patriots, who won by 3.

Kurt Warner and Arlen Specter have demanded further investigations and this story is not going to go away. Ultimately, the Giants may have done the NFL a great favor by winning this Super Bowl.

Hello Longislander,

Thanks for all of your Bandwagon Never Heard of You Until After the Final Game comments. Maybe next year you will have the guts to take the hits upfront during the entire year instead of skulking in when the battles and indeed the war was over. How did you miss two threads until after the Super Bowl. Peeping from your underground shelter and letting everyone else take the hits huh. Vulturism is so cowardly. When is your birthday? It's too late to give you some GUTS for Christmas. Try backing your team when it's all on the line, not when it's over. That is, choose a team before they win the Super Bowl.

Chicken, :p

I have asked you on previous posting if your coach was a dumb ass or an arrogance one regarding the choices that he made during the game. * Silence. You didn't response. Biggest game of the year that could define the team as one of the dynasty and he made an azz out of himself. Clearly out coached and he made the biggest mistakes of the game. A blind, deaf and dumb fool from a third world country would have punt the ball. But of course Bellichick is the Offensesive genius of our time.
The whole thread all you did was point out how bad of a speller I'm , like I said in my previous posting when I need your help on my next papers I'll send you an email. I don't think this is a Pookie's grammar thread rather than the Pat's choked errr Suck thread. Stick to the freaking point.
Last when I read SUPER BOWL 42 CHAMPION GIANTS Not the Pats.
Regardless how you may want to go on some personal vendetta or attack, the point is Your coach sucks and he's a dumb ass and was out coached. Your team choked and didn't show up for the game. They may have had a perfect season this year , but of course if my aunt had a penis she would be my Uncle. In the end the Pats are LLLLLLLLLLooooooossser. Histroy will remember them as a choker in epic proportion.
No matter how any one spell it. Sit down eat your chowder and remember when debating stick to the point don't go off on some tangent because you have no arguement.
By the way Giants 17 Pats 14 Did I mispell that ? :D 72' Dolphins are still the perfect and the Pats are "not so perfect ". Oooh hurts so good when you get punched in the mouth.

Hello...anyone home...ya there??? Hello!!! Pookie....which part of the following response did you not get? Are you having trouble comprehending English as well as writting it?

Special K said:
To get to your other points, Belichick made a mistake, in my opinion, of not going for the field goal from 49 yards out, does it mean he was being an arrogant asshole in trying to run up the score?

As I said before, I'm done dealing with people lacking severely in "Basic Sports knowledge 101" Yes, this would be you. Enjoy your Pack and look for the Pats in SB 43 next year. 5-2 Favorites already...what a surprise!
