Economists are raising the alarms on Trudeau's mass immigration policy. They are saying rapid population increase is reducing the standard of living for most average Canadians. The GDP per capita is shrinking and is becoming stagnant. Not only increasing population is making companies less willing to invest when hiring and the wages drop. The inequality is growing.

Direct Quote from the Article

Economists though — a handful at least — are beginning to raise some flags as stresses grow in the housing market and data show the economic gains from accelerated population growth may be producing diminishing returns.

The numbers are big and historic and well ahead of our peers.

Canada’s population is estimated to have increased by just over one million last year — easily a record and up 2.7 per cent from 2021.

We all know this is producing strains in housing

Stéfane Marion, chief economist at National Bank of Canada, pointed out in an April 10 note that the ratio of housing starts to working-age population has fallen to the lowest on record. “Ottawa should consider revising its immigration targets to allow supply to catch up with demand,” he said.

But it’s not just housing. Economists are beginning to see warning signs in another gauge: rising population isn’t coming with a commensurate increase in economic output.

According to data released by the International Monetary Fund last week, Canada’s population growth will help fuel the biggest increase in national income among G7 countries over the next six years, but our economy will also see the smallest increase in GDP per capita.

Biggest increase in national income is key for the government, it means government will make record profits off taxes because of more population and higher inflation. The GDP per capita tells the true story which means peoples incomes are going down compared to the cost of living.

Trudeau is holding a big meeting trying to correct his failure provoked by his massive immigration policy.
I call him Justin TOO LATE Trudeau in most of his actions.
Now he acknowledge the big deficit in housing.
Does he acknowledge too the extreme high cost of houses and appartments rents caused by his almost 9 years as Prime Minister ?

Trudeau never takes responsibility for anything, he blames everyone else but himself. This is 8 years of damage in the making. He is a narcissistic vile snake. All he cares about is remaining in power forever. He brought in so many immigrants just to get votes and to increase the tax base. At the end he made everyone poorer and governments and big business richer. It is not just apartments, but increasing the population so rapidly he keeps inflation up. He is sabotaging the BOC's efforts to slow down inflation. How that happens is even though prices keep on rising, the fact Trudeau is increasing demand rapidly via mass immigration and supply remains the same, things keep on selling and prices still go up. With so many buyers it keeps prices up all the while interest rates keep on going up. Everyone is cashing in at the expense of the working class. Trudeau also is bringing in too many international students and these students compete with Canadians for apartments. The universities love all these international students as they are charging them a lot of money. They are making profits off them. This whole mass immigration scheme is nothing but a money making scheme.

Direct Quote from Article

Incoming George Brown international student Harshal Bhasgauri says he's dipped into his family's savings in India to pay months of rent in advance just to get a shot at finding a place to live in Toronto for the school year.

Even then, he says the past four months of searching for housing were filled with unanswered and rejected rental applications, leaving him wondering why he was invited to come to Canada if there was no housing available.

He says some students shared stories of living in cramped and unsafe housing that was in disrepair, while others said they had to live in their cars because they couldn't find anywhere else to live.

According to Salmassi, who is himself an international student from the United States, the lengths these students go to in order to find housing compromises the whole point of immigrating to Canada in the first place, especially because he says they pay much more in tuition fees than domestic students.

Even students got suckered by Trudeau. Trudeau never had to work for a dime in his life, he lead a privileged life thanks to this father. People are beginning to see Trudeau for a the vile snake he is. But he did so much damage and it will take many years to recover from this. Never ever vote for a Trudeau.

The Conservatives are now gaining ground even in Quebec. Time for this Socialist coup to end. Trudeau and his lapdog Singh have to go.

They are also now saying that because elections is two years away and Trudeau is loosing support. I would not believe a word he says, everything that comes out of his mouth is a lie. The sooner Trudeau is gone the better. His father did similar damage and it took years to recover. Indeed, Trudeau is the biggest hypocrite.

The CMHC says that 5.8 million more homes need to be built by 2030 to restore affordability. Trudeau's mass immigration policy is bringing in people faster then apartments and houses are being built. This is madness. Back in the 60s there was a similar housing crisis to the baby boom, and the way the government made things better was by offering tax credits and subsidies to built apartment buildings. It is why a majority of apartments buildings were built in the 60s and 70s, I believe they stopped giving subsidies in the late 70s. But with Trudeau, he instead brings in refugees and gives them a free hotel for months on end with a monthly paycheck, pays people to have kids. This man's priorities are wrong or he is just a sociopath? Many of the major cities in Canada are full of homeless, I never seen so many homeless (almost all single men because Trudeau does not care for single men, only if you are a single mother or are married with kids will the government give you monthly paychecks and subsidized government housing). At this rate there will be a humanitarian crisis in Canada because housing is getting so unaffordable. The psycho still keeps on bringing immigrants.

Sad to see things go downhill in just a matter of 5 years. It was nice even up until 2016 - 2017. Luckily, I have a TN visa and can go to the US if things get even worse. For those who can move to the States with a nice job, I'd recommend it.

Trudeau OUT, Freeland OUT and that little Greenpeace weasel Guilbeault OUT.

La seule année de trop, ça va être la dernière de Trudeau et les Libéraux au pouvoir.
Du côté Conservateur ça roule comme sur des roulettes, depuis la nomination de Poilievre, le parti est uni et possède une vision claire pour la direction du pays.

More hypocrisy from far-left Socialists like the Trudeau government. This is about Chrystia Freeland. Her response to PEI residents about the carbon tax making everything more expensive and impacting the tourist industry because many tourists in the East go from region to region by car. Freeland tells them to move to Toronto and ride a bicycle or take the bus. This woman and Trudeau are so clueless and are just scamming people just to rip them off with more taxes.

However what people do not realize is she is privileged living off taxpayers earnings. She earns over $287,000 annually not including benefits and get a chauffeured limousine. As far-left Socialists say, "Do As I say" not "As I do".

Coming from a hypocrite like that who tells people to ride a bike and use the bus like Trudeau and Plante says, Freeland was fined $273 for speeding in Alberta. She was going 132kph in a 110kph zone. She used the Trudeau saying of "I am sorry" or "I will not do it again". There is a Trudeau reality and a normal people reality. Trudeau and no one in his cabinet are ever held accountable for anything and get away with it all.

56% of respondents said that Trudeau should resign before the next election. I am surprised Trudeau even has this much support. The commie is planning the return of covid mandates in September. They need to go further and charge this snake with treason. But this man is so power hungry and has no shame, he will never step down. Any sane person would resign but not Trudeau who is a wannabe Fidel Castro.

The hypocrisy of the far-left and Trudeau is unbelievable. In one week Trudeau traveled from BC to PEI, to Ottawa, and then back to BC in his private jet. But he wants you to pay more for gas (carbon tax) to stop climate change. How can anyone be so gullible to believe this nonsense coming from Trudeau or anything else coming from this sleazeball?

Trudeau uses his followers as tools to work on his agenda, does not care about them at all. Too bad many are too gullible which he prefers.

Despite all the exposure by the media of this government, Trudeau continues his mass immigration policy. The snake is desperate and will do anything to get as many votes are possible. Marc Miller announced that they will be welcoming 900,000 international students, on top of 500,000 immigrants. Has this man gone mad? With the housing crisis this is not the time to bring in more people. But Trudeau does not care, he wants votes. These students will gain permanent residency in two years and will be eligible to vote and they will vote for Trudeau. The snake will lick feet just to get votes. Not to mention with too many international students, it gets harder to gain admission into programs in universities. See how it is the government against the individual. The government actively works to put you down.

Direct Quote from the Article

Economists have warned the Liberal government that current rates are unsustainable when it comes to housing and cost of living as many face challenges finding rent or affordable housing.

Criticisms of the targets have come from a wide-variety of sources, including TD Bank, which released a report saying that “continuing with a high-growth immigration strategy could widen the housing shortfall by about a half-million units within just two years.”

The students still need to be a Canadian citizen and that requires 1095 days permanent residency in the past 5 years.
Along with the housing crisis the mass immigration will still harm our health-care which sucks as it is.
