Doc, this itself is a propaganda post. Russian propaganda did not influence the election. Hacked emails from the DNC likely influenced the elections. Hacked emails are essentially actual facts that have been improperly appropriated.
That's an odd claim. Besides the fact that both almost certainly did, the email release was
part of the Russian propaganda. Remember how they were released, with misleading emphasis and excerpted out of context to imply things that didn't hold up if you read the full email thread.
Regarding Comey, it seems it was more specifically the NYC office, but there were absolutely divisions in the FBI and fear of them leaking to Giuliani and the Republicans accusing him of not saying anything drove him. Of course, the irony remains that if he had just followed protocol in the first place, he wouldn't have been in that situation. But Comey is clearly kind of an ass who is full of himself.
Val, you're too smart to hold out these opinionated and obfuscating statements as facts. Please save me the time. Look at it again and explain to everyone why the above statements here are spinning. Thanks.
Sam, I honestly can't tell what you're asking for here. Which opinionated and obfuscating statements are we talking about? The dossier? Mine?
I mean,if you really want me to, I can go back and look through the dossier and put up a list of what we've seen confirmed and what we've seen disproven. Or, more accurately, what we've seen show up as "this basically did happen, but it was X, not Y who did it" kind of stuff. But I thought you didn't like long, quote-by-quote stuff and even more importantly, I don't think the dossier is that relevant? It wasn't the original source of the investigation, it isn't the basis of any of the indictments, it wasn't used in the campaign... It got a lot of press because it came out in a shocking way during the transition but it's largely a footnote now.
