The death rate in the US went up 18% in 2020 over 2019. While not all Covid related, Covid took a big chunk of it. Age expectancy took a drop for the first time in many many years.
The only reason we didn't see the trend in Canada was severe lockdowns and restrictions, which I am sure you supported fully......ya... that's it....

So you’re telling me that in the midst of a PANdemic in Canada we kept the same trend in the number of total deaths because of things such as masks, curfews and arrows on the floor.
That’s amazing we must really have got it right this time.
In reality if we would have been in a pandemic that number of total deaths would have raised exponentially.
There were an estimated 309,912 deaths in Canada in 2020. This is 16,333 more deaths than what would have been expected if there were no pandemic.
That is 5%, US was 18%, Canada's number could have been much higher without the restrictions imposed. Ask Brasil.

The argument you make is that "people that die with Covid not of Covid". Your proof is supposedly net deaths did not raise, which they did.

Lego the dictator best take notes from Ontario. Starting January 2022 in Ontario vaccine passports will no longer be required and starting March 2022 masks will no longer be required. Take notes Lego and remove all these ridiculous restrictions. End it immediately. The economy took enough damage things got to get rolling now.

This is almost the same as was already announced by PM Legault.
In an election year Ford, as he has done all along, will go with public opinion. My guess he will relax rules on people with vaccine passports first. For example, if he was in Quebec, he will allowing dancing in bars before he allows unvaccinated in bars.
I called it. They started talking relaxing rules as soon as boner got his shot.

Im well aware of how viruses work, but i was speaking of the fear mongering by the media and govs. They cultivate it. As soon as we think we may finally catch a break, boom they start the machine again to keep it alive. Anybody with 2 brain cells know winter is the flu/covid season and cases will rise and everything. Its not rocket science, yet they throw it in full force in the medias to make sure peoples still fear big time and that they can keep their grip on the population. I wouldn't be surprised if curfew would be back at some point during winter. They will use the excuse that vaccination is not strong enough against new variant, that we must wait on the third shot and it must be the new version of the vaccine for new variant and blablabla and therefore the convanxious will swallow everything and it will pass like a knife in butter again. No uprising by population.

I don't think so. What they got right now is ideal for them. A control like they never had before. "Emergency State" let them rules pretty much how they want and having identity controls everytime you go in a bar or restaurant or movie theatre etc is a form of control we never saw of our lifetime. I know this is linked to what peoples call "conspiracy theory" and i don't want to advance myself too much in a slippery territory but i find very very disturbing that this thing is there for so long (not just for 1 month to control an outbreak for instance) without any official end date and everything. Maybe its something governements always wanted but couldn't justify before...
Honestly even since the start of Covid my taughts were always "no way peoples will accept this". Its been the case for masks everywhere, curfew and house restrictions. Yet i was baffled to see peoples mostly (in majority) accepted it. I know there is tons and tons of peoples who did not respect the measures entirely, and they were just not caught, but im astonished that not much peoples protested in the streets or yelled their disdain on social medias...
