I look forward to the real winner of this election being inaugurated on January 20. Big CONGRATULATIONS to President James Comey (former FBI Director).

Today the Russians warned the U.S. to stay out of Syria. Will Rump obey and swallow daddy Putin's orders?

Cuban is a bigger blowhard than Subban was before this current season
Cuban recently made 400 millions in the sale of the Playtika division of Las Vegas Caesars Interactive Entertainement wich was based in Montreal. He can handle the loss of his election still with a big smile ;)

Cheers,

And Rene Levesque: one of the greatest political figures Canada will ever have. A great, great man and a true leader!

Here is one men that truly inspired me deeply. Never tough separation of Quebec into it's own country should be done. I like Canada to much. Still he was the last true down to earth politician wich I admire a lot. Only Jack Layton came close in recent years. My problem with Justin Trudeau is that I met him about 3 times in the last 10 years and did not like what I saw. But that's just me, your are right, I could be wrong and he could be greatest PM of all time. Until then I have many doubts, I am afraid he will put Canada is such debts... Harper reduced our debt greatly while still making canada a fucking great country, I admire that!

Cheers,

I love Canada as much as anyone else, but as a french-canadian i'm all for the separation of Quebec, although i wouldn't move there if it ever happened . I do understand why separatists would prefer Quebec being a country instead of a province. I march arm-in-arm with my french-canadian brothers living in Quebec whenever the separation issue comes up.

Why wouldn't i move to Quebec? I love Canada more and as a retiree i'd have more advantages living in Canada where i spent most of my life. Plus i pay enough taxes already and although Quebec's taxes are among the highest in North America, they'd likely go up even more were Quebec to separate from Canada.

On a slightly different note, California should separate from the US and have its own country. It would be much better off, but of course Gov. Jerry Brown won't live forever and all it would take is for another republican governor to come and destroy its economy again. Republicans are very good at destroying things.

Doc you support Quebec`s separation but you prefer to live in Ontario. Illogical.
That`s like stating your love for communism but prefer living in a democracy because you don`t want to lose your freedom of speech. Huh???
If Quebec separation ever occurs then most Canadian provinces would join the US while Newfoundland would join Poland and Ontario would remain as Canada with Drake as Prime Minister.

I was born & raised in Ontario. My healtcare system is superior to Quebec's and my retirement plan is registered with the Ontario government. Plus the higher taxes in Quebec already scare me away. Were i younger and not retired, i'd more to Quebec the day it separates.

But as a proud french-canadian, i truly support my brothers and sisters in their wish to have their own country.

Vive le Canada! Vive le Quebec! Vive le Quebec libre! :thumb:

Another persona of yours? Too bad a very high majority of Quebecers think it is a bad idea.

That's because of the anglophones and the immigrants. But the majority of french-canadian Quebecers would vote for separation. And as i mentioned, i wouldn't blame my french-canadian brothers and sisters one tiny bit to do so. Quebec is bigger than France and should be a country, not a province.

Yes Quebec is geographically bigger than France but with about 10% of the population....besides who wants the French economy.
The great Quebec north is inhabited by black bears, polar bears and a few thousand Inuit, who would separate from Quebec in a flash if Quebec separated.

As long as Montreal, the South Shore, and Laval, can then separate from Quebec, no problem.
Luckily most Quebecers are way smarter and know they are better off as Canadians, but it never hurts to milk the distinct card as long as you can, it benefits all Quebecers, even us immigrants.

Maybe Canada could keep West Island if Quebec would ever be allowed to separate. Then the anglos would all be happy & still be a part of Canada. ;)

You really think voting matters, don't you.

Let me explain to you what happens if Quebec ever 'votes' to separate...

The FLQ terrorist group is revived, they are held responsible for a few attacks and the Canadian army is called in (again). The Quebec premier calls for calm and condemns the attacks. The Prime minister of Canada calls for unity and likewise condemns the attacks.

A slogan is chanted (on est tous Canada?), we all shed tears, wave the flag and boom. Quebec is still a province.

Quebec, enraged then calls up it's military - oh wait - that's right, Quebec does not have one.

Military force decides almost everything in this world. If you think 'votes' matter... God damn man, come back to reality. :noidea:

Jill Stein the Green Party candidate has filed for recount in Wisconsin and promises to do the same in Michigan in Pennsylvania. Rump has 290 officially awarded electoral votes. All three states are close enough to flip however unlikely. With some electors elsewhere already pledging to dump their vote for Rump there is some small risk Rump could fall below the 270 electors need to be certified as President.

A recount is underway.

http://lawstreetmedia.com/elections/recount-effort-underway-wisconsin-clinton-camp-now-participating/

On another note, security problems to protect Rump and his family will cost the American people $1 million a day in New York alone. That's $365 million a year just in one place.
