Legally possessing and using handguns in Canada is complicated. It is not USA.
Rarely legally possessed hanguns are used for murders.
Knives and other weapons are used as often for murders in Canada.
Drunk or under the infliuence of drugs or high speed drivers kill more than legal firearm owners.
Should motor vehicules be banned becaused they are responsible for death of innocent persons ?

You actually think Israel is a safe place to be and it is because everyone has firearms.

I have been there a couple of times on business, last time it was a company just outside Haifa.
Stayed at Hotel in a small town 20km out as I thought it would be safer. Two days after I was home the restaurant across the street was blown up by a suicide bomber the one where we ate at several times.
It was really strange to see gorgeous young women with assault rifles as if they were carrying purses, that I admit.
Another big difference is these women are militarily trained in the use of these weapons and not a bunch of red necks going to a rally.

Exactly my point. If they followed the Liberal narrative the terrorists would take over. This is a perfect case to see that it is not a gun problem this is a terrorist problem and to be fully armed is for self-defense. A gun is a tool. In Israel military service is mandatory. As with the US especially with so many mass shootings the right to bear arms is practical.

Here we go again with cars, yes it has happened probably under 100 times throughout the world, are you seriously trying to compare that even to the number of people killed by a gun in just 1 hour in the US on a daily basis.
Guns are designed for one purpose to kill, cars are not.
Mass murderers will always choose an assault rifle first if it is readily available, they are not trained killers like terrorists, they don’t take classes for flying planes or how to make bombs. They don’t have an organization behind them. They almost always act alone according to their deranged mind and an assault rifle is the perfect and most easily available thing to achieve that.
