Whether her name conjures up good feelings or bad feelings.

I'll add "Bob" to cloudsurf's list.

Definitely would steer clear from any sp named Bob...

I say yes, because it's nice if I like her name, but it's probably the least important detail. For example, if I have to choose between two identical twins named Winnifred and Natasha, then yes I'll make a choice based on the name.

What feels a bit odd is when you see someone that you saw previously under a different name.

Yeah, or when you saw another SP with the same name before.

In any case personally the name play very little importance in my booking... if any at all. I mean... who cares about it, not like its her real name anyway(well in most case). Of course its fun when she has a sexier name or a name that match her look. Also like some originality in names, when you know there ain't 5 other currently working girls under the same name, but at the same time not going into something too weird.

But pretty much like everybody, an SP named Ginette or Gertrude... that would be weird.

When I go to strip club it always amazed me to see girls with names like Manon, Nancy or Carole instead of the usual Vanessa, Pamela or Samantha. I also notice there is no Cléopatre working at Café Cléo, never heard of one.
Same thing goes for Bar Chez Diane, Chez Rita, Mado, Le Carole or Bar Madona.
@ Halloween Mike you forgot Gaëtane...

I do my due diligence before meeting someone, but I will admit the name is a small factor when it appeals to me, like Kim, Hailey, Victoria, Vanessa..etc. On the other spectrum, there are other names that turn me off completely to the possibility of meeting her, such as Gertrude, Barbara, Cadence...etc... what I call teacher names. I would never meet an SP that I thought had a teacher name. The names I am especially fond of are unisex or have nicknames that are unisex (e.g. Samantha, Sidney, Roberta, Kelly...)

Where I belong.
I think an SP named Zdeno would have a hard time making it in Montreal.

I know I personally had a very hard time picking my name.
To me it's not just "some fake name".

Interesting. It was also difficult for me to choose a name on MERB...I finally opted for my favorite Elton John song, madman across the water... it also fitted well with my professional interests (mental health).

That being said, a girl's name does not bother me... Now, is it me or 30-40% of the girls end up telling their real name even on a firs encounter ? It happens to me all the time...Must be because I'm irresistible

Does the fact that the name is completely fake and made up at all factor into the thinking here?

If anything, it would make the chosen name more influential since it gives a perspective on the character, experiences, attitudes and imagination of the creator.

I think you are making some assumptions about how names are created. First of all with agency girls the owner may have a say in it, and availability may have something to do with it. Is a Red Wings player free to choose Gordie Howe's number? I recall Eleganza once fired a girl and then hired her back with a different name, the thinking being that the "bad karma" of her work under the former name would be exorcised by the new name. She was then fired a second time after one night with the new name.

To my knowledge those names were not used on any other Eleganza girl since. They have seemingly been retired, although apparently not for the reasons one would think.

Why is it they change their name? I've always wondered

Some want a fresh start due to bad reviews, other time it just to put an X on your previous agencies. I see it like wrestlers, if there in WWE they are name something, when they cross over TNA they get a new name(Ken Kennedy became Ken Anderson) and so on. Only the ones using real names OR if they got there wrestler names in the old time like Hulk Hogan can keep them.

So maybe there is some agency drill going on, that if you change place you don't keep the name, and sometimes there is already another girl working the same name. For exemple Jordan that i saw before the GT, i am wondering why she didn't kept Allysson, as she carry a long time good reputation with the name, been around long too. Maybe GOF asked her to not keep it.. dunno, didn't asked.

In any case, in my particular case... i never tough i would remain on merb for that long... i came here randomly, had to sign up to post or see some sections i think, so i took an old email of mine (not my real cause back then i tough the whole escort deal was illegal) wich dated back to when i was 15 or so... when i was die hard fan of Friday the 13th and Carpenter's Halloween with Michael Myers...

So came the name Halloween Mike... but like i said, would i knew i would had hang around that long here and all, i would had think about taking a better name, also maybe just use my regular internet name... How silly it was to mention "Halloween Mike" when presenting myself at the GT lol...

As stated by HM, a name change often is to escape the bad PR caused by negative reviews. But, I recall an SP once who was hammered in her 1st review on MERB. She admitted to me she had too much to drink that night and was off her game. She ended up sticking with her name, and developing a large following of repeat clients who mostly did not review her. Was actually one of my ATFs.

Also my favorite Elton John song, love it! You have good taste...

My real name in french is old fashioned and conjures up images of a 60 year old woman, not at all sexy!

I'm curious as to how many gentlemen are using a hobby name, I've known a couple customers who confessed to me that the name they had been using in our initial communications wasn't actually their real name after all.

Hmmm,

My real name in french is old fashioned and conjures up images of a 60 year old woman, not at all sexy!

My real first name in French means: he who loves to eat ice cream naked on the patio. I avoid carrying it out, but it sounds like fun. :eyebrows:

I love pretty, sexy, exotic escort names. They are very appealing. Still, it means nothing about quality. Many of my very best encounters have been with ladies named Jessy, Jessie, Lily, Jenny, Cindy, Maria, Michelle, Anita, Elena, Taylor, Li, Eve, Melanie...not exactly creative or exotic. For me, an escort shows who she is THEN the name becomes fabulous...or a dud. The plainish little names I mentioned all conjure goddesses, whether they seemed thrilling at first or not.

I also never use my real name at any time with escorts or associates any more, except with a couple of the closest friends. I have found that trusting too much in this hobby ends up being a big risk for transmitting information to those who can't be trusted, especially when some clients seem to have a habit of purposely using some of their expensive escort time to dig up personal info on others....and/or agencies keep personal information.

Cheers,

Merlot
