It`s simple. The investigation is not complete and will be finished only after the Olympics. Therefore they don`t want to give out medals now that they may have to change if Valieva is disqualified after the final verdict. The irony is that as a 15 year old she is considered protected and thus not responsible, but if her coach or doctor are found guilty....she suffers too . So what you are basically saying is fuck you to the other two girls who lawfully medal with Valieva - if she medals (which I hope she doesn't as this will be a spectacle). What did the other two girls do to deserve to have their medal ceremony taken away? How about having a ceremony for the 2 lawful medalists? Or you never heard of such a fair idea?It`s simple.
