Why the hell would he tell people not to wear a mask saying it doesn’t help them but then say keep it for dr’s?

Why indeed? This is what people were wondering back in early March. You should watch the video I posted again as it clearly went over your head. The interview is current, not from early March, and his statements that you reiterated is his admission of what the real reasons for the messaging of masks were in early March versus what they actually promulgated.

The US Surgeon General was no better

Neither was the CDC

Everything you said is true, however, that was not their early messaging, and hence the 'lie'. Perhaps you can argue they did this as a drastic tactic to preserve PPE for those who needed it the most, but generally speaking, the majority of the public at the time believed masks, N95 or otherwise, would be of no benefit, as ridiculous as that was to reconcile with why frontline workers were wearing them.

Government sources : Canada and US are likely to extend border closure and non essential travel ban. Good !!!
Too bad though for Canadian snow birds who have empty condos in Florida

Look behind you.
An old saying. It is easier to fool people than to convince them they have been fooled. This goes for many topics.

On the mood:

“…the only thing we have to fear is...fear itself…” F.D. Roosevelt

Rational preventive measures in moderation are helpful but the fear mongering and hysteria that have been propagated by the mass media and even some government structures is disgusting. Life goes on even if the probability of you dying increased a bit. But life is a lottery anyway and you never know for sure if you will be alive say a year from now. So, it is not worth sacrificing too much quality of your life now towards some future that may never come to you

Jake Tapper scolds Governor Cuomo for taking a victory lap on Covid 19:

Good. Cuomo did a good job bearing down and fixing it after he fucked up royally, but no one should pretend he didn't fuck up at the beginning.

The numbers are rigged. The easiest way to control the sheeple is to keep them in constant fear.

Is it not possible that since NY had a mass infection rate in the beginning that there were no sizeable amount of people to target? This virus will not get everyone, just like the flu some will just not get it. So basically Como's fuckup made him look good for doing nothing after the rage past.
Juat an idea.

Here we go again ..... the refrigerated trucks for bodies r back as morgues & funeral homes r filling up in Texas & Arizona. Time to face reality for those whiners bitching about how the shutdowns & social distancing have violated their God-given freedoms as Americans.

Our disastrous coronavirus response has even taken away our freedom to have a dignified death & funeral.

We are starting to have the results of the number of people, the vast majority are young, who tested positive for COVID-19 in bars in Montreal. Brief 45 new cases.

Unfortunately the managers do nothing. The money starts to come back so we don't want to lose that, but if it increases too much, we will extend the list of constraints, or worse.

Updates, coronavirus in USA

Over the past four months, the number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the U.S. has risen dramatically, and the U.S. currently has the largest outbreak in the world. As of July 16, more than 3.4 million people across every state, Washington, D.C., and four territories have tested positive for the disease, and more than 137,000 people with the virus have died.

Now, 40 states are still seeing an increasing number of new coronavirus cases each day, with younger people accounting for a growing percentage of new infections. (According to data from the Times, there are only two states, Delaware and Maine, where new cases are currently declining).

Dr. Anthony Fauci, the nation’s leading infectious-disease expert, has cautioned that despite the optimism from the Trump administration — which has repeatedly downplayed the seriousness of the current outbreak, with Trump recently claiming falsely that “99 percent” of cases are “totally harmless” — the nation is still “knee-deep in the first wave” of the pandemic.
Testifying before the Senate on June 30, Fauci said that the recent spikes in cases “put the entire country at risk.” The WHO has warned that if current measures in the U.S. are not able to stop the spread of the virus, further lockdowns may be necessary.
