An old saying. It is easier to fool people than to convince them they have been fooled. This goes for many topics.

“…the only thing we have to fear is...fear itself…” F.D. Roosevelt
Rational preventive measures in moderation are helpful but the fear mongering and hysteria that have been propagated by the mass media and even some government structures is disgusting. Life goes on even if the probability of you dying increased a bit. But life is a lottery anyway and you never know for sure if you will be alive say a year from now. So, it is not worth sacrificing too much quality of your life now towards some future that may never come to you

Good. Cuomo did a good job bearing down and fixing it after he fucked up royally, but no one should pretend he didn't fuck up at the beginning.
I asked my doctor today if he had any idea when this pandemic will be over. His answer was; How would I know, I am not a politician.
The numbers are rigged. The easiest way to control the sheeple is to keep them in constant fear.

Is it not possible that since NY had a mass infection rate in the beginning that there were no sizeable amount of people to target? This virus will not get everyone, just like the flu some will just not get it. So basically Como's fuckup made him look good for doing nothing after the rage past.
Juat an idea.

We are starting to have the results of the number of people, the vast majority are young, who tested positive for COVID-19 in bars in Montreal. Brief 45 new cases.
Unfortunately the managers do nothing. The money starts to come back so we don't want to lose that, but if it increases too much, we will extend the list of constraints, or worse.

Updates, coronavirus in USA
www.thecut.com
Over the past four months, the number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the U.S. has risen dramatically, and the U.S. currently has the largest outbreak in the world. As of July 16, more than 3.4 million people across every state, Washington, D.C., and four territories have tested positive for the disease, and more than 137,000 people with the virus have died.
Now, 40 states are still seeing an increasing number of new coronavirus cases each day, with younger people accounting for a growing percentage of new infections. (According to data from the Times, there are only two states, Delaware and Maine, where new cases are currently declining).
Dr. Anthony Fauci, the nation’s leading infectious-disease expert, has cautioned that despite the optimism from the Trump administration — which has repeatedly downplayed the seriousness of the current outbreak, with Trump recently claiming falsely that “99 percent” of cases are “totally harmless” — the nation is still “knee-deep in the first wave” of the pandemic.
Testifying before the Senate on June 30, Fauci said that the recent spikes in cases “put the entire country at risk.” The WHO has warned that if current measures in the U.S. are not able to stop the spread of the virus, further lockdowns may be necessary.
COVID-19 Cases Are Yet Again Surging
The U.S. just recorded over 80,000 new daily coronavirus cases for the first time since the start of the pandemic.

Georgia governor sues to stop Atlanta mask mandate
“I am not afraid of the city being sued,” Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms had declared in instituting a mask requirement in the city.

Discussion about the spread of coronavirus.
Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp sued Thursday to stop Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms from mandating masks be worn in the city to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
The legal actions comes after prominent Democratic mayors in the state pledged to challenge an executive order by Kemp barring local mask mandates.
Bottoms defiantly declared, “I am not afraid of the city being sued.”
Kemp made that a reality, writing on Twitter that his lawsuit "is on behalf of the Atlanta business owners and their hardworking employees who are struggling to survive during these difficult times."
"We will fight to stop these reckless actions and put people over pandemic politics," Kemp wrote.
On Wednesday, Kemp banned localities from ordering people to wear masks in public to stop the spread of coronavirus. Mayors across the state hit back at Kemp and accused him of playing politics during a pandemic.
It's because of a Republican governor like him that things are going so badly in the USA.
