No wonder Arruda quit or was fired. He saw where the Pandemic was headed in Quebec.
By far the worst province in Canada for hospitalization and death.
Yesterday the death toll per capita in Quebec was twice as high as in the States. Something that would have been unheard of just a few weeks ago. .
There has to be an independent inquiry on what caused the fuck ups and then heads have to roll including Lego
It is not as simple as you express the situation.
If you live in Quebec province, you should know that the age structure is different.
The pourcentage of persons over 70 years is notably higher than in the rest of the country.
From 2003 to 2018, the Liberal Party was in power except for a short time (2012 - 2014) about 18 months.
What did they do for improving the Health System ?
Explain it, me I would say nothing. Quite the contrary. wait times at Urgencies have increased, access to doctors decreased, etc.
I seriously doubt another Government would have done miracles.

It is actually. Every decision Legault made was rooted on the idea that the Vaccine will solve the problem, and that it will keep the Pandemic under control. It is why he got aggressive towards the Non Vaccinated. His whole strategy was based on that concept, and it is where he invested all resources and efforts. To be fair, he is not the only western Leader that went that way. This strategy is divisive, and it has failed to control the Pandemic. He only listened to one category of scientists instead of building a portfolio of scenarios and the necessary actions. They are always taken by surprise even though the information is out there. He has proven that he is not the leader for this situation, and he is continuing on the same failed path, too pride to recognize his mistakes, and creating more divisions.

I just ordered the Covid test kit containing 4 free Covid tests from the government. Anyone know how these tests work? Self swab and then place the samples in a prepaid envelope? Where are the samples tested?

Paxlovid works by blocking viral replication , just like ivermectin, but at 10 times the cost.

Ivermectin is most commonly used as a heartworm preventive in dogs and cats. It also used 'off label' or 'extra-label' for treating a variety of internal and external parasites.
For example, in dogs, ivermectin may be used in the treatment of mites (demodectic mange, scabies, and ear mites), intestinal parasites (hookworms, roundworms), and capillaria. In cats, ivermectin may be used to treat ear mites and cat scabies.

The FDA has not authorized or approved ivermectin for use in preventing or treating COVID-19 in humans or animals.

NH bill to make ivermectin available OTC.

Maybe they should of asked merb's top scientist to testify.

Ivermectin is used to treat head lice and certain parasitic infections.

But for COVID?
The WHO, CDC, FDA and IDSA say it shouldn't be used for COVID.
UNLESS it's in a clinical trial.

But that didn't stop this guy, who chose ivermectin over the vaccine. Capt. Joe Manning, 57, a Georgia police officer who frequently posted anti-vax messages on Facebook, has died of COVID-related complications.

Why would some people want a drug that is not FDA approved for COVID?

I don't get caught up in this narrative that the unvaccinated will be the end of society, that we should deny them healthcare or pike their severed heads at the entrance of hospitals to send a message.

People have the right to choose what they take, but promulgating the use of unproven treatments is dangerous.

It's interesting that Merck, who originally developed Ivermectin, themselves claim the drug is ineffective, which is counter-intuitive to pharma's desire to sell drugs if it could be shown otherwise.

Now one can argue that that may be the case because they've lost their patent, there isn't enough $$ to make and it could compete against their own, patented, more profitable covid pill. However, patents aside, as the incumbent of sorts, I would think that if it was effective, they would still materially benefit from supporting it, yet they don't.

Some have also claimed they have simply repackaged it into said pill, but that doesn't seem to be the case. It is more likely the myriad of generic drug producers are propping up this narrative.

Maybe because FDA approved Vioxx, that killed over 50000 people .... FDA approves ammonium hydrogen (which is toxic) to be used by McDonalds to "wash" the meat for burgers .... I can go on and on with how much shit FDA "approved" ....

One of my coworkers tested positive today. I worked in close proximity with her yesterday so I am now isolating from my elderly father. A preexisting medical appointment I have this afternoon had to be converted to a televisit as they don't want me at the office. We are all working today with masks, my other coworkers and I, while the Covid positive coworker is at home, self-quarantined and with symptoms.

i assume that these are rapid home antigen tests. in that case, you should see the results almost immediately and dont have to send off a sample.
