^^^^ Here is a history lesson.

Screenshot_20250419_152201_Chrome.jpg As you can see, the party became a Liberal to gain votes. Ford is a populist. He is 100% Liberal.

I hate to burst the bubble, but that poll still gives the Liberals a win.
You are likely right since Liberals get more votes in dense urban cities = more seats. It is not votes that really counts, it all comes down to seats.

You’re not bursting my bubble don’t worry. I’m just sharing different pollings as well. Still sleeping soundly at night - it’s not these puppets that’ll get to me.

Regardless of party affiliation, it's real shame that this is how votes are counted in this country. I don't want the CPC to win, but if more people vote for them - then they deserve to win.

Pierre Polievre on the Jordan Peterson podcast...titled Canada's Next Prime Minister.

It's kind of sad what happened to Jordan Peterson. He had some interesting insights about the nature of creativity and mythology... but he's descended into a simpering sycophant of the Right, seeing as it's where his bread is buttered - and he knows it. There may also be some sprinkling of Russian influence there.
For years one could objectively say that it wasn't really the case, until the US election, when he released a couple of absolutely cringeworthy "psychoanalysis" videos about Trump and his possible cabinet picks (were he to be elected)... which descended into literal propaganda where he finally concluded by comparing Trump and his team to the X-Men superheroes. It was pretty sad to see what he'd become. Any psychologist doing something similar for the left or any political party would also be morally bankrupt.

Of course you say that because it favors the Liberals.

The mistake people are making is that they are voting for a person or a party on the emotional level instead of trying to see and predict the needed policy directions. We do not need empty slogans anymore but a structured program of radical changes. This is what is required in these turbulent times. Both parties failed to deliver it.

Exactly. They do not see how Carney is Trudeau 2.0.. If Trudeau became so unpopular, why they think changing the person will change anything? Carney's latest budget proposes over $130 billion of spending with no projections to balance the budget. Trudeau said the same thing, it will only be for a few years but as we seen it never stopped. Who will pay for this? Us the one working a job. Carney calls it an investment instead of spending. That is what investment bankers do, they try to trick you and gaslight you. With all this debt our interest will go up and the dollar's value will go even lower.

So according to the MERB poll as of this date, Carney has the slightest of leads -25-24 over Polieivier, or 43.1% to 41.4% of the votes cast. Can we count on this MERB poll as being more or less representative of the Canadian population at large?

So far the polls show exactly that so I would say is very representative. But there are a few wild cards, young ppl and Quebec that can determine who will win.

Yes and I still can't believe the Bloc only has 1 vote! Lol

And most merb members probably live in Quebec, a Quebecois French province! Lol

Where's the Quebecois nation pride at? Lol

I wonder what Merb members would do if the Conservatives had full reigns on womans rights or this particular industry.

Cause it certainly doesn't flow with their values, oh the irony of the votes on this forum

They won’t have full reigns on women’s rights lmao. Just like how everyone cried that Trump will take away abortion rights… stupidest thing ever lmao.
We all have our rights and they ain’t going nowhere.

Also even if it were the case - i find it foolish to make a decision based off of those selfish reasons… to make people feel guilty on that ONE basis is ridiculous. To make people feel bad about not being able to afford groceries or rent over …sex work… lmao.

There are bigger fish to fry / actual issues we ALL face as a nation. This isn’t about sex work or women’s rights and the fact that people make it about this and think about prioritizing sex work? It’s really fkn laughable and selfish. I actually care about our state of affairs and how it affects future generations, cost of living, affordability, etc etc. This is about everyone not just about SPs.

The real kicker though is how many women became sex workers extremely quickly because of the state of the economy and how they can’t afford life … oh the irony on that one eh? Riddle me that one.
