It's not because somebody has a ton of followers on social media that they're breaking the bank on OF .. the people who make a lot of money on OF are influencers and semi celebrities right now. I don't have a ton of experience but when I had an OF I mostly gained followers when I posted my escorting ads, because they chose that over seeing me in person.

Also doing OF is not necessarily easier than being an escort. For me it was too exhausting to constantly come up with new and original content. I was planning on doing only internet based work at some point but I realized that although it's safer, it was even more exhausting for me. I felt like I would have to do more and more extreme things and felt a pressure to be hypersexual.

Escorting is also more discreet. I don't want thousands of people to have access to vulnerable images of me, it personally makes me feel uncomfortable.. escorting also involves a side to it that's not just about sex and being objectified, at least for me.

Exactly!!! Most of us don't have access to all this
I agree with Luna on that I use to have an onlyfan and I realize that I will have to be a full time porn star and be more out there. That doesn’t really fit my personality because I’m discreet on my social media and I like the anonymity of escorting.

This !

I mean unless someone is extremely popular and for some reason guys still pay to see the same boobs in videos they seen a hundred times (Alinity comes to mind), eventually peoples want more. And yes if someone is very creative, they can "get away" with doing nude only or even no nudity (but lingerie for instance) but thats a LOT of work. You can't just take selfies or yourself in your bedroom. We talking pro-shoots, costumes, venues. All this cost money.

But usually everybody that do become "big" on OF are because they have other things goin on. I mentioned Alinity, she was a streamer before doing OF and gain a following there. Someone like Paige Van Zant was a fighter and has massive following because she was a hottie long before OF.

Lets say you start from scrratch, you are average Jane (but you very pretty) but have "only" 5 to 10k followers, you don't stream video games or other content, like you just switch from escort to OF, its gonna take time to built enough to make a good pay and in the end, you may feel exhausted of all the work you have to spend replying messages and actually shooting the content.

I regret having onlyfans and whenever one of my friends tells me they consider it, I try to convince it not to do it. Your images will be on the internet forever and often without your knowledge/control

Being an escort is a lot more discreet especially if you hide face and tattoos

Only Fans has zero influence on the drop in young SPs entering the hobby.

That's the vibe in this thread.

Only OF-providers with large social media presences can earn a decent living.
Few are able to accumulate that.
Those that do must put in lots of hours.

TLDR: OF = Vastly overrated.

I regret it too. I'm face out and I don't care about nudes and lingerie photos, but anything involving sexual intimacy isn't something I want anybody to have access to.

A lot of people seem to think being an escort is just about sex, but it's not. Yesterday I spent 2 hours talking about complex spiritual concepts with a new client. I've accompanied people through mourning and gender identity discovery, talked about music, watched movies with clients, etc. This isn't something that can be replaced by onlyfans.

And btw this is no judgement on people who make their own erotic content. They are creators and work very hard and deserve compensation.

That's completely wrong. What are you basing that on?

I know at least 4 SPs I've seen in the past who discovered those sites. 2 have gotten a decent following on OF (they both hired the same person they know to do all the marketing/online stuff).

The other 2 have been camming. One isn't really attractive either, she's a MILF and cams maybe 2 days a week for 3-4 hours each and she tells me she makes $10K/month from it. The other one is a hot 25 year old. She doesn't tell me how much she makes but I'm sure it's way more than the other one.

None of them work as SPs anymore.

If OF and these related sites didn't exist, guess what they would be doing.

The only hot SPs I know who didn't make it on OF were 1) didn't want to show her face, so she got very few fans, 2) other one quit after a week when her content was shared onto sites (and she regretted showing her face on it)

Yeah that's why we participate on this board and urge clients to treat us with respect :) we want good working conditions and we don't want to see "psychos with bad intentions". There are aspects to all types of sex work that many clients don't see or care to think about.
Putting all the moral and legal implications aside.....women in your field provide in my opinion a valuable service. I value my time spent with providers for they fill a basic need that we as humans need to survive be it sex, intimacy or just plain having someone to talk to. As with any profession, service providers should be treated with respect and clients need to be respectful of what ever limits they may impose.

Things are slow for restaurants and retail, so everyone is getting hit. How slow is it for clients and SP. There is an ad for a SP where she pasted her face on a $100 bill and she is advertising $100/ hr. What you get for that I do not know. I have also seen ads where they say 2 services implying the it is a 2 SOG offer. I texted a lady that wanted $220/hr. I did not respond and she texted me again and asked what my budget was, I guess happy hour was on. Personally my hobbying is half of what it use to be. How is your hobbying. What discounting have you seen?
I assume you are referring to page like LL. I never use those platforms and I’ve not seen massive discounts from reputable providers or agencies.
I don’t spend all that much on this hobby these days so the market situation doesn’t impact me much. If it did I would cut down on my frequency but not lower my standards. If things got really bad I’d rather hook up with civilian girls than spending my money on places where I could get scammed.

Well as a client im glad to hear you like your job.

Personally putting myself in the shoes of an escort the fear/possibility that a new client might be a psycho with really bad intentions would make me do Online work as soon as I could.
Being an escort isn't ment for everyone. Same as online work isn't for everyone. We all find what areas we are comfortable with. I don't think any one aspect better than another. We are all just trying to make SW meet the variables we are comfortable with. Safty and exposure are part of that.

Personally, I'm booking less just because the experiences have become more hit or miss for me than a couple of years ago and I have become more selective.

As far as the mention that individuals always seem to end up "fully booked", I have found that even if they are not fully booked, they are listed as such when their shift has ended, so I feel that is an inaccurate way to determine how busy things are.

And in regards to discounts, I have actually been offered a discount to book more recently, but felt that was more because the person I was booked with cancelled and because there was good feedback about me from prior bookings, so there was a desire to have me return. Ultimately I just used the discount as part of the tip, I am more concerned about my time being well spent than any discount and haven't seen discounts offered for years, was kinda surprised when it happened.

Cheers!
