How bad could the red socks use Freddy Garcia right about now? Nice to see Andy Miller back to his old self tonight. :)
BTW- The god awful Sox just lost to Tampa and are back where they belong(the cellar).

Hard to believe that just over a year ago, many so-called experts (no doubt Red Sox fans) had dubbed the Red Sox "da best team evah!"

Easy there pal, this guy was projected for greatness by rumpleforskin, it just didn't work out, it's not too often that rumples is wrong, also nice pitching by Melancon lately, he has finally gotten his ERA down to under 7.00.:cheer2:

Jason Varitek honored tonight at FenWaste

Yo, do not kid yourselves sock fans, Jason was a decent player, but the only thing he will be remembered for was nailing this (supposedly, and if true, cheating on his wife! but then again, he did play in new england, home of cheaters)

Too bad honoring the guy who nailed Heidi didn't help the Sox tonight...getting bombed by the Bautista-less Jays two games in a row!

Rest assured, Red Sox fans....they'll bounce back tomorrow afternoon when they face the recently awful Henderson Alvarez, who'll likely give away a couple of homers & won't last 5 innings. I predict that Carl "The Truth" Crawford will have a great game. And Wade Middlebrooks? He'll suck again at the hot corner & likely commit 2 errors. Hard to believe they gave away their leader & hero Youkilis in favor of this bum. But that's Bobby V for you....

There goes another one of my sports tickets down the tubes, why I keep picking the corpse of John Lester to win is beyond me, I swear that I will never ever pick him again as long as I live, the guy looks like he's totally washed up.

Looks? Your being awfully kind my friend, lol. Its all that greasy chicken and beer. We have witnessed the decline of bEckett and lEster this season, lets just say the best starting 5 EVAH, according to red sux fans before last season began, has officially turned into one of the WORST.......EVAH!

Lots of CRICKETS in these here parts these days, lol...... bangwagon sox fans! Bwhahahahahahaahaha (actually, the Silence says it all!) :D

But in fairness, I know they are all busy...jayman is pretending if he does not read about it, it does not happen, merlie is on the fence(whats new) about posting, tom terrific has decided once and for all to be a mets fan, hence the name, rumpie is planning his last "date" before the "official" retirement announcement (my money is on Lucile), and sk is also in the planning mode, putting the finishing touches on his last 9 trips to Montreal before the end of the year. It's ok boys, we can handle this w/o ya, and prefer it that way ;)

Meanwhile, Daydreamer, Joe.T, EB, Chercher and myself are elated watching the red socks the last 10 months and Doc is on cloud nine after the SWEEP this weekend! Go Yanks and Go Blue Jays! (man, if the Jays had some pitching they would be lethal)

Without a doubt, the two greatest franchises in baseball history. The Blue Jays will forever be respected for gifting Canada its first ever world series title!!! I love the blue jays.

And the Yankees are the greatest sports dynasty in all of sports, no question about it.

Absolutely hiliarious!!!! "we have seen our bullpen gel, young players emerge, and veterans lead. We have watched the team coalesce into a close group"

I personally think that this is a joke as no owner in their right mind would wright a letter like this with his team in last place, who ever wrote it is a funny person.

The guy who destroyed the Expos is at it again down in Miami after the city built him a nice new park.

I always loved the Expos as a very close second team I followed and after they left (and many tears later) I adopted the Jays as my second favorite and whenever they are not playing the Yanks, I will always root for them.

Welcome to the baseball threads LM, past is the past :thumb:
