Boston was by far the better team out there. They had over 100 total shots at the net, while the habs only had under 60 total shots. Price kept the habs in the game and also relied quite a bit on lady luck. Boston missed a lot of chances that may have been due to them being a bit rusty from the layoff.
The difference was that Montreal capitalized on their opportunities, especially on the powerplay. Had the Bruins stayed out of the penalty box, they would have won the game.
As for the racism expressed towards P.K. Subban on social media, this is shameful. It seems like those racist idots ignored the fact that Jarome Iginla is black & that Malcolm Suban (PK's brother) plays for the Bruins' farm team. However, every city has its share of racists & bigots who enjoy hurling racist epithets while hiding behind a keyboard. And yes, even teams from cities such as Montreal and Toronto have them. Donald Sterling wannabes are seemingly rampant everywhere (as long as they can hide unanimously behind a keyboard) and there has been an air of racism/bigotry heating up in America ever since the day John McCain chose Sarah Palin as his running mate & Barak Obama was announced as a presidential candidate. Sorry for bring up politics, but i'm simply stating facts.
It's also quite obvious that there'd be 29 other NHL teams lining up to sign P.K. Subban should he every become a free agent. The large majority of Bruins fans do realize that they were beaten by his talent alone & his skin color had nothing to do about it. Off to game 2!
