Gee Whiz Smuler. Is Fulmer pitching well. He just won again today giving up only 2 hits over 6 innings. He has not givin up a run in his last 23 1/3 innings now? You have to go back to John Hiller n 1967 to find another rookie with a longer scoreless streak. And Upton is starting to hit. See the article below:

Michael Fulmer could have gone further.
The right-hander could have pitched the seventh inning, and perhaps the eighth, blowing his upper-90 m.p.h. fastball past Toronto Blue Jays hitters and having them swinging out of their shoes at his wipeout slider, keeping them off-balance with his changeup.
But on this night, the Detroit Tigers offense would have none of it.
They wouldn’t mess around with Blue Jays left-hander J.A. Happ, not with the bullpen either. They would hit the ball often, and hard, and far, in an 11-0 shutout win at Comerica Park, and they would give Fulmer a much-deserved breather.
Box score
All the Tigers rookie did was what he has done in each of his past three starts: Dominate.
Fulmer allowed two hits over six innings, extending his consecutive scoreless innings streak to 22 1/3 innings, and becoming the first Tiger in history to throw three consecutive scoreless outings of six innings or more with three or fewer hits, according to Baseball-Reference.com.
Fulmer walked three and struck out five. He threw 88 pitches, 53 for strikes. The only batter to record a hit in the powerful Blue Jays lineup was Darwin Barney, who singled twice.
Fulmer was backed by an offensive explosion, starting in the fourth inning against Happ, when catcher James McCann golfed a low slider out to leftfield for a three-run home run. In the third, Justin Upton hit his fourth home run of the season, an opposite-field shot off the railing just above the fence in rightfield. In the sixth, the Tigers scored three runs on three RBI singles.
Upton went 2-for-4 with three RBIs and a walk. Six players had two hits. Cameron Maybin and Ian Kinsler both delivered RBI singles. Martinez added to the onslaught with a two-run double in the eighth inning, as the Tigers set a season-high in runs.
But the story was once again Fulmer, who is making a name for himself every five days.
He hasn’t allowed a run since May 21 against the Tampa Bay Rays, which served as a coming-out party of sorts for the rookie who now finds himself squarely in the early-season discussion for American League Rookie of the Year.
Fulmer’s 22 1/3 scoreless innings streak is third-longest for a Tiger rookie, behind John Hiller’s 28 2/3 in 1967 and Victor Santos’ 25 in 2001.
Because of the blowout lead, manager Brad Ausmus was able to pull Fulmer early and called on the bullpen to pitch in low-stress situations.
Alex Wilson pitched a scoreless inning and Sanchez, in his first appearance out of the bullpen since 2014 – he was demoted last week – threw a scoreless inning.
With the win, the Tigers pull above the .500 mark on the season. They are 29-28.
