How about those Cleveland Indians. If they win today against the Blue Jays they will extend their winning streak to 15.

The Indians have the 4th Best ERA in the Majors, but are 17th in .BA.

Can they continue their amazing streak? They are a team of no names and a few washups (Napoli is one of the washups) who are playing better than expected.

It's no big secret that the Yankees have been shopping Miller around in order to get players and prospects which would help them rebuild that sinking ship of theirs.

http://www.minorleagueball.com/2016/4/2/11333890/minor-league-baseball-farm-system-rankings-for-2016

In 2015 the Yankees were ranked 13th in team prospects. This year 14th. If they are shopping Miller part of that is the mistake of losing prospect potential because of their business methods of the past.

How did they do last night?

21-2 Loss to the Los Angeles Angels?

Are you sure they weren't playing Football?

http://www.foxsports.com/mlb/boxscore?gameId=360702102

Clay Buchholz is 3-9 with a 5.91 ERA.

Want to compare him against CC Sabathia (5-5, 3.17 ERA)? Any experts in Sabermetrics or whatever that is?

I suspect to hear those Crickets chirping but I could be wrong

When I heard the score I couldn't help rolling on the floor and laughing my ass off. Three of the worst pitchers in the league and one of them for $30 million. Absolute embarrassment!!!!!

I'm all in for Cleveland or the Chicago Cubs. One because I'd love to see their city go two for two in championships. The other to end the longest no championship losing streak in history.

Well, today it's the Jays who crushed the Indians 17-1. 17-1!!

I also wouldnt mind to see the Cubs going all the way. It'd be good for baseball, just like the time i became a huge Red Sox fan back in October 1975....or when they made their great comeback against the Yankees over a decade ago. The 30 for 30 documentary about that series is one of my favorites ever. I even bought it! :D

I remember somewhere, somehow, somebody was explaining how these big loses figure into the unbelievable complex calculation of Sabermetrics.

I know you have to factor in the Sabertooth Tiger somehow, someway.

But it's very complex Calculus and Physics at work. Maybe someone, somewhere who is more knowledgeable than I can 'splain. Enuf said.

And the Tribe has now won 11 straight from the Tigers. We are pretty good team if it were not for Cleveland. We have owned them in the past. Not this year. They are the team to beat. Their starters are too good.

Yankees lost again. It ain't very pretty in the Bronx these days. Too many high-priced underachievers on that team. They have a good bullpen but not much more.

The Tigers beat the Indians for the first time this season. They are now 1-11 vs the Tribe. With two starters on the 15 day DL - Norris and Zimmerman - I don't know how we will compete short term. The only two effective starters that we have are Fulmer and Verlander. Anibal Sanchez has forgotten how to pitch. He was once the league leader with the lowest ERA 3 years ago. This year he has lost 3-4 MPH off his fast ball and his breaking ball no longer breaks.

The Fister deal was atrocious. The worst deal since Neville Chamberlain's treaty with Hitler. And Tiger management should of re-signed Scherzer. I sure wish we still had Percello.

The Jays should clean up.

No, worst deal since Obama's deal with Iran.

Controversial Interference Call

On this play (see video link below) Francisco Lindor was called out for interference, as he ran over and collided with Yankees third baseman Chase Headley. The Indians protested the call, saying that the ground ball was shortstop DiDi Gregorious's to field, and Lindor was concentrating on avoiding Gregorious and not paying attention to Headley who, according to the Indians, should not have been fielding the ball or involved in the play. It does appear to be Gregorious's ball, but just because it was DiDi's ball, does that give Lindor a free pass to steamroll Headley and prevent him from trying to make a play?

The announcer said the baseball rule is it is incumbent on the runner to give the fielder the chance to make the play. Headley was headed towards the ball so they called Lindor out.
