Corey Perry is being kept out of the lineup & away from the team in Chicago which is leading to all kinds of speculation by the fans & the media. Players claim they don’t know anything about what’s going on & the coach says he can’t discuss it. Is he about to get traded? Is he being disciplined? Now Taylor Hall’s season is over. The team hasn’t improved much yet Bedard is having a very impressive rookie season. Is the team about to start trading its veterans away?

Jacob Trouba $5000 fine for this high sticking of Trent Frederic- have to watch the 3rd and 4th replays to fully get a good video of what happened. It appeared that Trouba momentarily forgot what sport he was playing and swung his stick like a baseball bat on Frederic's head:

He tried very hard to make it look accidental

The Rangers should probably pay the fine. When the Rangers got Trouba they knew "Trouba trouble" was walking through the door, and that's exactly why they got him. They needed a defenseman with an edge because at the time, all of their defensemen were injury prone pussies. They got an enforcer who is a halfway decent player, and now their corps of defensemen is elite.
So when he behaves like they expected, pay his fines.

« fucking Bedard's mother is denied »
Well if it had been the truth, who could blame him? After all, he’s been asked to act like a father to Connor! Lmao

As we speak, after 22 games, we have 2 defense men in the top 5 pointers of the league! Quinn Hugues and Cale Makar are showing the hockey world that they belong to the superstars restricted club!

Quinn Hughes is looking to prove that he, not Jack or Luke, is the best of the Hughes brothers. The 3 Hughes brothers are like the Hanson brothers in Slap Shot, there is a lot of sibling rivalry going on:

One thing is for sure, all 3 are very talented, so far Jack and Quinn are definitely on top but they all give quite a show to hockey fans.

Well, since it’s an alcohol abuse related incident, and Perry entered the NHL program, admitting he is struggling with alcohol addiction, it is obvious that the NHLPA will file a grievance and probably win.

That is likely but it’ll be up to the player. Other players in similar situations have refused the NHLPA’s interference on their behalf in the past so who knows what he decides to do. And will he really enter the NHL program now that he’s without a team & contract? What if he‘s not an alcoholic & what he did was just one silly bad mistake on his part? No criminal investigation, no NHL investigation. It seems more like he embarrassed himself & the organizatio than anything else. With tbe Hawks already being scrutinized due to their past indiscretions maybe his situation would have been handled differently had it happened with a different organization. Maybe once other teams get the full facts they may want to sign him for the rest of the season. Who knows.

Perry entered the NHL program
Since he has no team or contract and is currently not an NHL player, who is paying for the treatment? Perry out of pocket?

I considered what my firm might do if I had an alcoholic bender and badly embarrassed the firm in public. They could fire me, or suspend me, or demand I seek substance abuse treatment as a condition to continued employment. But I would certainly have to pay for the treatment. There is no question in my mind about that.

Here’s the deal & where things stand as of today:

Perry has admitted to having a drinking problem that he hopes to address. We know the Blackhawks did not push him to enter the NHL/NHLPA substance abuse program, which is how teams usually proceed with substance issues. We also know that currently Perry has not fought the Blackhawks on having his contract nullified and he has not asked for the NHLPA’s help in any kind of grievance, although he does have 60 days to do so.

Many GM’s around he league have expressed frustration at not knowing the details about what exactly happened since some of them may be interested in signing him. They’re saying “if what he did wasn’t illegal then what did he do to warrant his expulsion from the team & the nullification of his contract?”

Until these questions are answered i doubt any team will sign him. Not only would it be risky but the backlash would be worse. Anyways it’s very unfortunate that a likely hall of famer may very likely have his legacy tarnished by an embarrassing incident at the end of his great career.
