BOWNESS is retiring after 38 seasons....it's the right decision pour une carrière bien remplie.
He is retiring after a season in which he was named a finalist for the prestigious Jack Adams award and did one of his finest jobs as a coach. It also should be noted that he mentored TB Coach Jon Cooper and helped him become the coach that he is.

Keefe Defends His Coaching, Says He Will "Search For Solutions":
The way I think that article reads, ESPN is giving Keefe a pass on the 1st round loss due to the Nylander/Matthews injuries. Will this sympathy for Keefe bleed over to management, and will they give him one more year to find the solutions Keefe says he is looking for? Do you guys have sympathy for Keefe?

Swayman Exacts Revenge On Leafs For Not Drafting Him
Any of you guys heard of Ian Scott, the goalie the Leafs selected 1 pick ahead of Swayman? Probably not as he retired in 2022 at age 23 after a career .885 save % in 5 seasons of minor leagues of hockey.

Panthers will have to solve the Swayman mystery! I didn’t watch the game but the SOG points to a game where they had the edge, both in shots and face offs.
They need to but bodies in front of the net and get Swayman out of his comfort zone!

Guessing the Connie Smythe winner after the very first round is a bit futile to me. Any candidate who had a great first round can be knocked out in the next. This isn’t a 1 game thing, it’s about being at the top of your game for the full 16 wins required to have your name engraved on the Stanley Cup!

Yeah, I know, some exceptions have happened where, the Connie Smythe was voted to a player on the losing team. But anyway, the Connie Smythe is, imho, the greatest achievement an athlete can make, all sports include.

This kind of bs should be ruled out by the league!
It's complete nonsense. The Philadelphia 76ers pulled the same shit with the NY Knicks but it didn't work as they lost game 6 at home. It's a highly unfair trade practice. The problem is that unfair trade practice laws in the USA are typically enforced at the state level by State Attorney Generals as part of their consumer protection mandate. It's never in a million years going to be enforced by the North Carolina Attorney General. For political reasons. So it's basically a BLATANT unfair trade practice that is in violation of the law and will go unpunished.

Either the NHL, or the federal government/Department of Justice needs to step in and stop it. I am sure the Rangers have filed a complaint.
