Do you book SPs that don’t have any face pics? Or do you avoid blurred out ladies?
I don't have any problem with not seeing the face as long as description is honest and photos we do see are recent and not outrageously photoshopped.

The choice to show or not your face is personal and is to be respected and not challenged.

A little side note ... some that do not show their face may use this as an extra screening item. If the John keeps asking for a face pic it is a good indicator that he is too ignorant to respect the lady's limits, therefore "next".

I haven’t been asked that in a long time, I even forgot it was a thing.

I read the reviews more carefully and try to get an idea of the facial features when the face is blurred out. If there is no information to find I will avoid any lady with a blurred out face.
EDIT: I should add that I am pretty good with "computers" and most of the time can unblur the face. ;)

I knew that’s how some people were getting caught at the border but I didn’t realize civilians could do it too. This makes me want to only take photos from my shoulders to my toes.

it’s all the work and the back and forth we have to do to be able to successfully get a booking confirmed.
When booking with a new client for the first time what's the average time to set it up i.e. how many email / text exchanges? What is the success rate of a first booking, as in you actually ending up to see the client.

Damn, this sent chills down my spine. I'm very aware that some people can do that but you mentioning it like this made it too real lol

Not only that but girls these days are showing their faces WAY more than they think! The blur is getting ridiculously thin, covering only the nose even, and they are showing the mouth, their smile, and sometimes their eyes in other pictures. Thanks to social media for the narcissistic temptation to show yourself. Blur is getting useless, and I expect it to continue to fade in popularity.

A tip I can give is to not use blur on the original photo. Instead add a patch of blur (from another picture) onto the photo and create a new file. Hopefully this makes sense.

Are you all using the same software to blur? If so, I'm guessing it's easier to reverse engineer when you know the software that was used to blur it, in the 1st place. Just an educated guess, as I am not smart enough to actually know how to do it.

And narcissistic temptation?…..
I heard some girls just do it to bring some curiosity to the clients. And also I heard it’s harder for the boarder to arrest black girls because the system is less efficient on us so some will play around with the blur by blurring just their nose lol.
I personally know the system will work on me. I have so many distinguished features. Even a few weeks ago a client recognize me from my hairstyle and body at a party lolll (scary)!
I was mostly comparing today with ten-years ago. I have seen a major change in the blur between when I first started in 2014, and the last few years with the growing popularity of social media. Blurs were thicker and more covering, I don't remember seeing only a nose blurred or a thin blur where the facial expressions could be seen.

But our family would recognize us easily despite the blur, especially with the kind of blur I see these days, family and friends know us beyond our facial features.

But I’m getting a little concerned now that I know it’s so easy to un blur my face. I have no chance with the boarder… will drop my American dream :(
Many providers are showing their faces and are not stopped at the border. So it is definitely not the only variable for custom agents to cross-reference our ads with real-world information!

Yeah you are right!
sometimes I forget that I’m a baby SW. hihi

Would the border actually have the means to use your ad picture to be able to know who you are when you cross?

It's interesting to hear some of the inner workings and thought process, you ladies have to work through on a daily basis.

I'll apologize in advance if this has been asked before (too many pages!), but what are the biggest pros/cons of working at an agency vs being an Indy? I know the obvious major difference is the pay, but the sacrifice is the additional time spent screening/scheduling/etc, with the caveat that you have more control over who are acceptable clients.

I know I have met some agency SP's who could easily be Indy's, but chose not to. And also some Indy's who are not well prepared to handle all that comes with being self employed/managed.

Edit : sometimes they go as far as finding old ads of 10years ago. Or if they don’t find anything to actually stop you they will still ban you because it’s too « suspicious » your traveling itinerary. They can ask to have access to your phone etc.

But you don't use your real names, just trying to get my head around as to how they would know it is you when you drive across the border.

I had a friend, who got into trouble with the law as a juvenile, and was turned away at the border. I assume the ppl who are most affected, are ones who have a record, or had their identity flagged with suspicious activities. This is also probably why SP's are afraid to report any criminal activities to the police.

Doesn’t make sense in my little brain but I will figure it out! Hopefully
You can message me if you need more details. The "IP thing" you mentioned can be circumvented by this method as well.

On a sidenote, blurring your face can also result in other SPs using your photo for their ads, which sadly seems to be the case for you. (It took me 3 minutes to find this)

We have to give our ID and real-world info to almost every advertisement platform we use. Travelling patterns, persons you travel with that are flagged already, advertising platforms collaborating, we're not sure but I think it's simply a blend of everything.

Here’s a couple interesting ones

Does the industry have any go-to ‘operating’ solutions for Indy/Agency/MP?
I.E. organized/sharable schedule platform, client/payment/expense records, universal blacklist, etc. Or is everyone out here really just using excel sheets, WhatsApp groups, and their stock OS schedule app? o_O

Also, for SWs who actually declare their high income — since cash businesses are the most likely to be audited, what are the more common ways it’s done to come out squeaky clean?
