What should the industry norm be around cases where a date is arranged, say, 1-2 months in advance, and a deposit is paid but the SPs rates have changed non-insignificantly just prior to the meeting?

I can see reasonable arguments on both sides (“grandfathering” or fixing prices vs keeping them dynamic up to the point of the meeting). For example, an SP’s needs, overhead, and value proposition are not fixed, so their rates shouldn’t be either. At the same time, a date was agreed upon based on a rate that no longer applies and backing out could mean the loss of a deposit for the client. (Not an exhaustive list of arguments on either side, just getting the conversation going).

I personally honour the rate that was in effect when we scheduled and agreed on the date.

Same! A few times the client has insisted on paying the new rate anyway and it's appreciated, but it's important for me to leave that decision to them and on my end honor whatever was initially discussed because I don't want to seem greedy or assume the client would have booked me in the first place at those rates

I think people who work long enough in the hospitality industry become very observant, (from the valet, bell hop, front desk, restaurant staff, concierge and cleaning staff) I am pretty sure they can tell with relative accuracy by looking at a couple having dinner, checking in a hotel ect... if they are married, having an affair and probably if a lady is an SP (some ladies have a more discreet look vs others of course)

An SP told me that when she tours in Toronto she never books the same hotel in a row and tries to cycle between 3 or 4, and each time she noticed that there are other SP on her floor and very rarely does she see families with kids on her floor (SP are very observant as well) it was her opinion that this was not random and the front desk was trying to purposefully limit the chance of uncomfortable situations

This is very personal, every woman has their preference! Everything Skyn/Lifestyle is out of the question for me, condom or lube; it's an automatic infection. So I always have my own Durex silicone lube, my Trojan and Durex condoms of different sizes, and even latex-free condoms (we never know). I also prefer to use my own anyway, it rarely happened that I used what the client brought and it made me uncomfortable each time.

A shared blacklist across SPs was mentioned recently and I was hoping to get better understanding of how that works. I am not asking for details or names of course.

I assume some attributes such as aggressive behavior, violence, no-show & ghosting etc. will land you on such a shared list. But there are potentially other things where the individual tolerance of the SP varies greatly. Do you have a shared blacklist and an individual one? I am curious and grateful for any information that you are willing to share.

The origional arrangement would stand. What was agreed upon the date it was booked. It's different if it was postponed many times, or happened, and since prices rose, while scheduling a revisit.

I picture it's like any business. The agreed upon price for the set encounter has already been set. Renegotiating the price only happens if there's a Renegotiating of the events that will happen within.

I have my brands I stick with. Like mentioned before, I have noticed an undesired reaction with some brands of condoms, and their lubes.

I tend to stick with skyn non-latex most, i have some latex trojans in 3 sizes as well thin, regular and large. And always use an aditional lube to prevent breakage. I use TOKO AROMA lube. It's scented and flavored and the lube I have enjoyed for many years before getting into this work. And for those who like DATY. It adds to round 2 by applying a candy flavor to get back to enjoying her, rather than a greesy oily flavor to deter added oral foreplay. And for myself I find the lube my body doesn't have undesired reactions to. I don't let other kinds of lubes be used on me.

I don't worry about it... people i meet in private are just that a private relationship. Besides i often live in my own world. I can pass by my own mother in the streets, and unless i know she will be in the area, and looking for her, i will likely not even notice her.
I am not opposed to acknowledging someone who acknowledges me. But I am likely wrapped up in what i am doing (i hyper focus on things that have my attention, and rarely notice my souroundings)
But like you, chances are, I am with my family doing my own thing, and when I'm off the clock, I'm just trying to live my life like you are.
Mind you i also wear a mask at my day job to not be as recognized by people i don't already know. Lol.. instead of blurring my photos online, i hide my face in my public job.
