What should the industry norm be around cases where a date is arranged, say, 1-2 months in advance, and a deposit is paid but the SPs rates have increased non-insignificantly just prior to the meeting?

I can see reasonable arguments on both sides (“grandfathering” or fixing prices vs keeping them dynamic up to the point of the meeting). For example, an SP’s needs, overhead, and value proposition are not fixed, so their rates shouldn’t be either. At the same time, a date was agreed upon based on a rate that no longer applies and backing out could mean the loss of a deposit for the client. (Not an exhaustive list of arguments on either side, just getting the conversation going).
The origional arrangement would stand. What was agreed upon the date it was booked. It's different if it was postponed many times, or happened, and since prices rose, while scheduling a revisit.

I picture it's like any business. The agreed upon price for the set encounter has already been set. Renegotiating the price only happens if there's a Renegotiating of the events that will happen within.

Is there a brand lube that you prefer?
Any brands lubes to avoid that might be irritating
I have my brands I stick with. Like mentioned before, I have noticed an undesired reaction with some brands of condoms, and their lubes.

I tend to stick with skyn non-latex most, i have some latex trojans in 3 sizes as well thin, regular and large. And always use an aditional lube to prevent breakage. I use TOKO AROMA lube. It's scented and flavored and the lube I have enjoyed for many years before getting into this work. And for those who like DATY. It adds to round 2 by applying a candy flavor to get back to enjoying her, rather than a greesy oily flavor to deter added oral foreplay. And for myself I find the lube my body doesn't have undesired reactions to. I don't let other kinds of lubes be used on me.

I don't worry about it... people i meet in private are just that a private relationship. Besides i often live in my own world. I can pass by my own mother in the streets, and unless i know she will be in the area, and looking for her, i will likely not even notice her.
I am not opposed to acknowledging someone who acknowledges me. But I am likely wrapped up in what i am doing (i hyper focus on things that have my attention, and rarely notice my souroundings)
But like you, chances are, I am with my family doing my own thing, and when I'm off the clock, I'm just trying to live my life like you are.
Mind you i also wear a mask at my day job to not be as recognized by people i don't already know. Lol.. instead of blurring my photos online, i hide my face in my public job.

What’s your screening/selection process when agreeing to do overnights

Maybe once every 2 months, more often during summer.

I'm curious about when you first heard about this job and what you thought about it back then. I found out about it from a movie when I was in 6th or 7th grade. Also, I'd like to know how old you were when you started working in this field. Did your thoughts about the job change from when you first heard about it until you started working?

How comfortable and familiar do you have to be with the client before agreeing for overnights ?

I've done overnights on first dates a couple times, but I know this isn't the norm - most of my overnights are usually with clients I've known for a while. I don't mind either way but I typically fall asleep easier with people I know a little lol.

My thing is usually if we don't know each other, I suggest booking a few hours first (or maybe a dinner date) and then if the vibes are fun, we can add the difference for me to stay the night. That way, if we don't vibe all that well, I can just go back home after the first portion of the date, at no loss for the client.

Given that with modern medicine it is very well possible to completely prevent the spread of HIV by use of the appropriate prophylactics along with Prep, is it inappropriate to ask a provider if he/she is using Prep? Also, just out of curiosity, I see a lot of providers mention that they are vaccinated for COVID but no one seems to mention whether or not they take Prep. That seems like it would be a favorable thing to mention.

I don’t see the need to say that.
I will personally take it as a red flag if a new client ask me about that especially during the booking process. Makes me think he is going to assault me but just making sure it’s safe for him to do so. There is a difference between taking our health seriously or just being nosy.
If you are really concerned about the risks of HIV you should probably only ask for safe service or yourself get to take the Prep.

A lot of us aren’t qualified to take the Prép even if we are escorts because we don’t practice unsafe penetration.
If you have a safe sexual life in general (use of condoms for vaginal and anal sex) the chances of catching HIV are really low.
I’m personally more concerned by disease like gonorrhoea; syphilis; herpès that can get so easily spread just by the saliva or fluid exchange.

The Covid case is a bit different because of the way of transmission and because it was a mondial pandemic. The virus was literally in the air.
So not the same thing (just my opinion )!

Lately around twice per month. But in general once per month.
Most of them are clients I have met once already so the trust was built and the screening part was done.
If it’s a new client I’m more severe in my screening (I ask for ID and a big deposit) and analyze how the conversation goes.
I can’t spend an entire night with a complete stranger (we are the most vulnerable when we are asleep).

I was probably 10 year old. We had a lady in the family who was known to be the mistress of married men and she wasn’t hiding herself especially in my country where the culture is really conservative.
I didn’t think something bad about it because she was always happy and kind. The family was always very nice with her (probably from my naive perspective). And I always wished to be taking care of by a rich man. Haha

Until I discovered this world on a different note 2 years ago. I was shocked by the prices : I couldn’t believe I could “sell myself” for just 200$ or even less. It took me probably 2-3 months to understand a little why it was like that and get myself ready to start this job. I’m pretty young and I’m really happy about some of my accomplishments thanks to this job.

Same as Julia; I have done overnights on the first meeting but really in rare situations like when I’m travelling to another city. Most clients prefer to start with a shorter meeting and see how it goes.

Just an example: I had a client who at first book me for overnights but will always let me go when it’s time to go to bed by randomly finding an excuse. After like 3 meetings like that one day he let me sleep with him but no touching at all. And now the more we meet the more he wants to cuddle in bed with me. (not only us escorts needs to feel comfortable sharing our night with someone).

I don't believe in this argument, that one wants to pay the rate that was agreed to at the time of the booking. Because what happens if the provider lowers their rates or offers a promotion by the time you see her? Will you still insist on paying the highest rate that was agreed upon booking, or you will want to take advantage of the promotion or the current lower rate? Guys wants to pay the lowest rate, not the rate that was ongoing when booking.

So my advice would be to always pay the highest rates to stay in her good graces, and you'll stand out that way.

Thanks for the reply Alisha. It didn't even occur to me that someone might use information on use of Prep by a provider maliciously - definitely never thought of someone using it as a green light for assault. This is one of the reasons these message boards are so wonderful. It is important to understand the perspectives that others in the industry must have in order to remain safe. No doubt - Prep makes sense for a hobbyist concerned with contracting HIV. It's a very good insurance policy for accidents such as broken condoms, etc. I am a bit surprised that providers in Canada cannot get prep more readily if they want it regardless of whether or not they are practicing safely with the use of condoms. In theory it should be relatively easy and straight forward for a doctor to write for it with very few invasive questions. And, even though it is ridiculously expensive, it can be subsidized by the company that makes it to make it incredibly affordable.

Just an FYI for anyone interested, there are preventative measures for gonorrhea and syphilis as well - taking the appropriate antibiotic within a set time frame after initial contact for instance. A google search will lead to more info for anyone that is interested.

Once again - the reply was appreciated.

I didn't realize it was a job when a friend of mine joked about us getting into it when we were in sec 5. Then once i had to start adulting on my own, after a failed relationship with an alcoholic, and remembered my friend jokeing about being an escort.
Picked up the local paper for my area, and saw escort ads, i called 1 and an agency car picked me up that night. Back when i was 18.
Did it for 6 months and quit to lead a less judged profession, and life, wanting marriage and children in my life and not believing that would be in my future if i continued. But suffered the judgement for my youthful decision ever since, till i returned to it in my 40s.
When i started i didn't fully understand what it was, but i was horney and was tired of being played by guys and figured i might as well make bank, since men would treat a regular single woman looking for love and a relationship, worse than they treat women in this field some how.
