I guess I'm referring more to a situation of someone the client knows.

I tend to overthink everything, which eventually leads to worst case scenarios such as running into my boss or a family member while on a dinner date. The chances of that are slim, but like I said - I overthink stuff.

You’re not allowed to date? I mean if you’re married or partnered up I could understand how that could be awkward but if you’re single, who cares who you’re dining with?

If it were my boss or a co-worker, no problem. They probably wouldn't ask many questions.
Someone closer though. They know I'm not dating and haven't been on a date in years. Once they got over the shock of seeing me being a normal human being doing normal human things, they'd have questions. I wouldn't be opposed to telling most of them the truth, but IDK if that would be proper etiquette.

I'm obviously worrying about nothing though. My family doesn't live here and my few friends aren't the fancy restaurant type. Was just curious if setting up a backstory was a thing.

You also don’t owe them an explanation about how you live your life.

“I was on a date. We met through a mutual friend/coworker” end of the story.

I think you're overthinking it honestly and it's never happened to me that I ran into someone I knew on a dinner date or other type of social date. Montreal is a big city

Except when your date is 30 years younger and a solid 9.

There a lot of beautiful women in this industry and a lot of women that wouldn’t really bring attention on you. Not because they’re ugly but because they dress soberly I guess

I understand, but in this situation, you kinda want your date to dress provocatively, not like my aunt Betty.

You might want that but not everyone does. Some men prefer going out with woman that draw attention because of their elegance not because they’re half naked.

In those cases, I promise no one is looking at the man she’s with.

If someone is dressed provocatively then everyone will be looking at both the man and woman.

I think if being seen in public with a solid 9 that is 30 years younger than myself or if feeling the need to prepare a backstory should someone I know see me in public was a huge worry for me than I should probably stick to incall or outcall to my hotel room.

If a friend of mine saw me with a younger woman and gave me a hard time about it later or talked about me than I would consider it a blessing to find out they really are not a good friend. Montreal is a huge world class city with so many places to go. What is the population? 2 or 3 million metro area? Not sure. Unless you are a famous celebrity, I wouldn't worry about it.

There are also plenty of women who can draw attention in Jeans, T-shirt, no makeup without being provocatively dressed because they are just naturally beautiful.

She's so cool

She was one of a kind.

My friends that are not in sex work have gotten STIs a few times because they don’t always use protection (their partners probably do the same). My sex worker friends have never caught anything because they’re really serious about it since that’s how they make money.

If you made money with your hands, let’s say you’re a dentist. Would you deep fry stuff with your bare hands directly in oil? Would you cut veggies with your eyes closed?
I know several people that have caught sti from SPs. It happens more than people on here like to admit.

All jobs are regulated in some manner. There are tax , labour codes and regulations around every single job.

Well yes. Sex workers already pay taxes. Not every job is regulated in the way you want sex work to be regulated though. That's my point. You sound like you don't even know what you're talking about.... did you click on the link?

And where, pray tell, did the SP catch it ?? THAT people here definitely don't like to admit as discussed ad nauseam ...

You can get a paper cut reading a book. Please practice safe reading.

Given how many men proudly scream that they’ve never been tested in their life and engaged in unprotected sex when they were younger, I’d say she probably caught it from a client and passed it to another. Unfortunate but it happens. My point and I think our point was that it is not as common for us than it is for regular people.

Our body is our main work tool, we take care of it but misfortunes happen.

This. It's also up to clients to take care of themselves, get tested, ask for safe services if they feel at risk (for example if seeing a lot of providers and a lot of women generally, etc)

Gentlemen : what is something a SP has said to you that really melted your heart?
I was young and naive at that time, i was out of my mind with that girl, she told me one day we would ride motorcycle together :,) (used to go to her incall with mine), off course it didnt happen... an other girl said that i should'nt have to pay to have sex. I mean i guess i look good but i was wayyy to shy to ask a girl out at that time.

Personally I couldn’t care less what other people think.
They can stare all they want, after the dinner is over you will never see them again anyway.
What is important is that the lady wants to be there with you and that you both enjoy each others company.
