Does anyone know of anybody who has been harassed or has any personal experience of having a hard time at the border leaving Canada coming back to the U.S.A? I was talking with a man who is both German and Haitian who told me he is not leaving the USA right now even though he has legal immigrant status, and has lived in the USA since age 9 and is engaged to an American. He has family outside in Europe that he will not go visit now. I actually cancelled a trip to Montreal recently out of fear as a minority that I may get targeted and am born in USA. Just wondering if this is a thing to be worried about? There are some crazy deportation stories out there right now.
