Mets marched out 6 pitchers, all 6 sucked (none worse than Colon) and they gave up 19 hits to the Marlins. Giancarlo Stanton is a heck of a player and the Mets should be trying to figure out a way to pry him away from the Marlins as he can supply some right handed power.

In better news, the Mets B squad beat the Marlins Bs 8-0 with Dillon Gee hurling 4 scoreless.

Stanton's OBP has improved each of his 4 years in the big leagues and his power potential is unlimited:

http://espn.go.com/mlb/player/stats/_/id/30583/giancarlo-stanton

He is an example of a great young talent who, due to unfortunate circumstances, ends up playing for a suck-ass team on which nobody ever sees him play. I would love to see him in NYC. He deserves a bigger stage on which to perform and show the public his talents.

He is becoming more selective as a hitter and teams are also pitching around him due to the suck ass talent around him in the Marlins lineup. It is a shameful situation for him.

The homer he had against the Mets today was a bomb like what McGwire was hitting in 1998.

Should the Yankees Start Panicking About C.C. Sabathia's High-80s Fastball?

http://bleacherreport.com/articles/...anicking-about-cc-sabathias-high-80s-fastball

Well, now this is certainly not good news in Yankeeland. Lol. Old Skinny C.C may want to down a few cheeseburgers and bulk up again.

Here's just an excerpt of the first two paragraphs of that link I posted.

" Here's guessing that the New York Yankees were hoping CC Sabathia would flash better velocity in his second spring start than he did in his first spring start. He didn't. And that's bad. It's typically a good idea not
to worry about anything performance-related in spring training, but Sabathia's velocity is an exception. In light of how it relates to past trends, the Yankees should be very worried."

another excerpt, really, you all should read the entire article, it's full of lovely information. Lol.
"Kind of amazing: one scout said CC Sabathia did not hit 90 mph with his fastball today against the Nats. Sat 86-87, topped out at 89."

Ouch!!!!! I guess in Yankeeland though this is good thing, I can hear it now...he obviously must be saving himself for the regular season.

BOYZZZ!

I don't know why you don't get it yet SK. Sabathia is "LIGHTS OUT"...as guaranteed by the "legendary" Joe.t. It's not about pitch speed...or strike outs...or wins and losses. He's lights out because he wears pinstripes, and Yankee boyz are too far gone with delusional hysteria for any other possibility.

What was EBs personal assessment? The rest of you don't understand (only EB can ). Sabathia is "built like a horse" and he will be worth every penny.

The great part for the rest of us is Sabathia is guaranteed $71 million through 2016, and another $25 million in 2017: "if 1) does not end 2016 on the disabled list with a left shoulder injury, 2) does not spend more than 45 days in 2016 on the disabled list with a left shoulder injury or 3) does not make more than six relief appearances in 2016 because of a left shoulder injury."

I also heard that now that Cano has his mega contract he tweeted out that the Yankees really need another couple of right handed hitters. Will Cano donate part of his obscene contract to get them...NOT BLOODY LIKELY!!!

Cheers Chumps,

Merlot

I'd be happy to Mr. t, Ol Ivan "Super???" Nova got lit up pretty good today! 5 Innings, 9 HITS, 3 Runs, not a good line my friend. Oh and Pineda looked decent against a cast full of 2nd stringers from Baltimore. How's Tex & Jetes doing this Spring, care to comment? Hahaha.

Red Sox minor leaguer just wanted to get some pussy

Jon Denney, a minor-league catcher with the Boston Red Sox, was arrested Thursday for allegedly driving with a suspended driver’s licence.

Then things really went sideways.

The 19-year-old was issued a citation just before midnight Wednesday in Fort Myers Beach, Fla., after he was pulled over. He police a licence that was restricted for business and emergency purposes due to an alleged DUI in Arkansas, the police report said.

Denney got a ride home but, two hours later, cops saw him drive his F-150 pickup truck out of a parking lot and again pulled him over.

Denney then got belligerent with the cops, the report says. He told them he was in the area “partying and looking to get some (p---y)” and he “made more money than we could ever see.”

The report adds that Denney said “he would be out in no time because of who he played for and that he made three million a year.”

Denney, who was released Thursday morning after posting a $500 bond, was drafted in the third round last year and signed for $875,000.

The Red Sox said they were aware of Denney’s arrest but would not comment.

This does not surprise me at all..... Winning a few Championships* have gone not only to the "entitled" red sox fans heads, but also to the "entitled" red sox players heads on down to the red sox scrubs. 3 million for a guy who may not ever play a game in the Big Leagues, ROFL...Wow, that was some powerful alcohol!

Dunno K but the game that you are referring too was a game with Yankee "B" pitchers, whom none of them will make the team, the more important game was the one that Vidal Nuno pitched and who is making a strong push to make the team with a solid one hit, shutout, "LIGHTS OUT" performance yesterday, Girardi has some tough decisions to make.

BTW- Notice that absolutely no one and I mean no one is talking about the Red Sox chances this year, in other words.:help:

I was at the game!

Tanaka struggled with his control a little and La Stella hit one off the left field wall for the only RBI off Tanaka. That and a line single up the middle by BJ Upton were the only two hard hit balls off Tanaka. Braves played all their starters.

Teheran also pitched well for Atlanta but the braves bullpen got raked. McCann hit a nice 2 RBI double and the Yankees Ramon Flores also had 2 hits and an RBI.

It was 80 degrees at the time of Tanaka's first pitch. I got great pics of him with my digital cam which I will download later.
