A source informed of the situation confirmed to La Presse that Stéphane Blais, president of the Foundation for the Defense of the Rights and Freedoms of the People (FDDLP), and Olivier De Senailhac, director of the same organization, are both bedridden.
Mr. De Senailhac told two separate sources that he would be sure he had contracted COVID-19 since his relatives tested positive.
Stéphane Blais is said to be suffering from "severe pneumonia", according to our source. He was reportedly not tested for COVID-19, however.
Mr. Blais, who has organized several protests against the health measures, has previously claimed that the COVID-19 pandemic was "nothing more than an international coup d'etat.
