Finally Trump is doing the right thing.
He is letting the doctors and universities take over and calling in all the major health care grocery chain companies and labs to take over the fight.
This is the most encouraging speech so far, hopefully no more meddling by incompetent politicians let the doctors and the innovators take over.

..et les marchés ont bien réagi ..le DOW a récupéré près de 2,000 pts today....BUT the roller coaster est loin d'être terminé.

Agree Fradi , Good move from the orange one
Now I’m starting to think he might be a carrier himself and the virus in a strange way has changed him for the better
It makes sense to let the EXPERTS take over without constant interference from politicians with big egos

Why did Trump exempt the UK from flight restrictions?

I..... I recall seeing something about being able to use my Global Entry card to enter the UK. Maybe this has something to do with trusting that the UK will do a better job than other countries at vetting travelers. ...

Why did Trump exempt the UK from flight restrictions? Surely, it's only a coincidence that Trump has hotels in the UK.

Yes, I was listening to the speech live and guessed (correctly) that the market would react positively as Trump, yes, did the right thing and let the professionals take charge and didn't make a single stupid remark, boast or lie.

I think I have made my dislike of all politicians clear a few times, but the news media is a close second of scumbags.
Finally Trump does the right thing does what is clearly needed and all they can focus on is that he doesn’t take responsibility and that he hasn’t been tested.
What a sorry group of completely biased idiots that can only focus on trivial things, what difference does it make if Trump was tested or not he is one person, how will that help or harm the effort to contain this pandemic.

Trump declares coronavirus pandemic a national emergency
https://www.boston.com/news/national-news-2/2020/03/13/trump-coronavirus-national-emergency

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Donald Trump announced Friday that he is declaring the coronavirus pandemic a national emergency, as Washington struggles with providing Americans with relief and officials race to slow the spread of the outbreak.

Speaking from the Rose Garden, Trump said, “I am officially declaring a national emergency.” He said it would free up as much as $50 billion for state and local governments to respond to the outbreak. Trump also waived interest on federally held student loans and moved to prop up energy markets, by directing the Department of Energy to buy oil to fill the strategic petroleum reserve “’right up to the top.”

Trump said he was also giving Secretary of Health and Human Services Alex Azar emergency authorities to waive federal regulations and laws to give doctors and hospitals “flexibility” in treating patients.

“Through a very collective action and shared sacrifice, national determination, we will overcome the threat of the virus,” Trump said.

He also announced a new public-private partnership to expand coronavirus testing capabilities, as his administration has come under fire for being too slow in making the test available. Trump said, “I don’t take responsibility at all” for the slow roll-out of testing.

The partnership will include drive-thru testing in some locations and an online portal to screen those seeking to get tested.

Thor - I hope they have plenty of toilet paper at the incalls because this is risky behavior. Please watch the video below. Your session should look like this to be safe:

Absolutely true , he is never going to win them over . They are as biased as they come no matter what he does,,, he could drop out of the presidential race tomorrow and they will still disagree with him

About the testing I respectfully disagree with you which I think is the first time . What’s the harm in making it clear that he was tested which he should of , I thought leaders led by example , just my take

He claimed that he has no recollection of this picture being taken last weekend. He said he is unaware that the photograph actually exists. He said it may or may not be true.

He surrounds himself with a midget doctor that knows what Trump is saying is insane but he won't do anything about it.Trump will eventually fire that midget and say I never trusted him , he was an incompetent idiot. I barely knew him.

He just got the green light to hand out $50 billion dollars to the states that have governors that will suck up to him.
He's very happy.

How much you wanna bet that the Brazil president really does have the caronavirus? ... https://www.instagram.com/p/B9da8aJnCEP/?utm_source=ig_web_button_share_sheet

I don’t think we disagree on that, I couldn’t care less if he was tested on not, it would be prudent and also the right thing to do as a human being to have done that seeing as he was in contact with virus carriers, but let’s not forget that he is after all now a politician, that says it all.

My point was simply that him being tested or not is of little consequence in the grand scheme of things as there are probably hundreds of thousands of carriers around the world who have not been tested especially if they are showing no symptoms.

With the current situation, I am taking a break and won't see sex workers for a little while until this virus pandemic gets settled. I think this is the most reasonable approach.

I love Jalapeno. And I have contact lenses. I now wash my hands like I had just eaten jalapeno straight out of the bowl with my bare hands and need to put my contact lenses on ;)
