DOW lost 3.000 pts today.....and it's not over......

Good, no erection when you have a vertigo from the stock market. Sit home on the quarantine and calculate many years of the hard work ahead that will allow you hobbing again. If you survive the virus of course

Gaby -- you're right. I think the DOW might drop below 18,000 before it can attain sustained increases again. A global recession is inevitable in the coming weeks.
Recession at this point is inevitable with the economic impact the virus has already had and going to have...at this point, who knows how much further the Dow will fall...who would have thought when this thing broke out in China that we would be where we are today.

Hold on to your hats, wigs and hair extensions…..the Dow can drop another 50%. We are already in a recession and a depression is just around the corner. Weirdest thing of all is that economically China is starting to get back on track.

You're right. It's not in that article. My assertion is based on what I've read and hear from various "reliable" mainstream news outlets.

Ah, ok. So you have nothing to back up your very specific comment that “ Canada puts the US to shame in terms of its preparedness and testing for COVID-19 of its population, which is 1/10 that of the US. “

It is your “ASSertion” based on what you’ve read and “hear” from various “reliable” mainstream news outlets.

C’mon, that’s the best answer you could come up with when trying to bash the United States?

Boeing is one of the largest single components of the DJ. It dropped 23% to-day and about 70% from its 52week high. It can easily drop another 50% but the government won`t let it go bankrupt. That though won`t be the case for many of the airlines and cruise companies and even hotel chains. I think the coronavirus will be long gone before anyone is brave enough to go on a cruise again.

I still maintain the same opinion that I have posted in this thread very early. When everything calms down, we will see that wrong reaction by the governments inflicted hundred times more damage than the virus itself. We should be giving the virus free run to rapidly reach “herd immunity” by the natural immunization and simultaneously give compensation to all people over 60 to stay in isolation, free medical help to everybody who got the virus and a substantial compensation to families who lost breadwinners due to virus. It will cost orders of magnitude less than shutting down the country and would not substantially increase casualties.

Dude, take a chill pill. Yes, trump is the greatest and he's better than God.

Fair enough ShyMan, I'm just uptight from not being able to travel to Montreal during all of this and having to read books and watch news all day. Stay safe everyone.
