It is your “ASSertion” based on what you’ve read and “hear” from various “reliable” mainstream news outlets.
C’mon, that’s the best answer you could come up with when trying to bash the United States?
Boeing is one of the largest single components of the DJ. It dropped 23% to-day and about 70% from its 52week high. It can easily drop another 50% but the government won`t let it go bankrupt. That though won`t be the case for many of the airlines and cruise companies and even hotel chains. I think the coronavirus will be long gone before anyone is brave enough to go on a cruise again.

I still maintain the same opinion that I have posted in this thread very early. When everything calms down, we will see that wrong reaction by the governments inflicted hundred times more damage than the virus itself. We should be giving the virus free run to rapidly reach “herd immunity” by the natural immunization and simultaneously give compensation to all people over 60 to stay in isolation, free medical help to everybody who got the virus and a substantial compensation to families who lost breadwinners due to virus. It will cost orders of magnitude less than shutting down the country and would not substantially increase casualties.

What you should be doing to protect your own interests is staying inside, and if need be hire some snotnosed kid in your neighborhood to do your shopping and pay him around $10, or else have Uber do it. Have them bring you around 200 packages of Maruchan Ramen Noodle Soup. If need be you can get by on 1 of those a day (400 calories of processed carbs per package), occasionally supplemented with the odd takeout sandwich from Snowdon's Deli. Don't go outside, don't see escorts. If you kick into survival mode you will survive, if you stay in panic mode, I don't know if you will. I am trying to get your mind focused here on what you need to do. Don't worry about the markets, because there is not a thing you can do to control what happens. All you can do is control what happens with you.
