Not surprised that Vegas casino patrons r totally ignoring coronavirus safety guidelines. Casino patrons/suckers typically have poor understanding of probability & risk plus lie to themselves by wanting to only hear good news. Well good luck!

Meanwhile in nearby Arizona, things r not looking good.

Will there be a second wave of COVID-19? It all depends on you, according to the National Institute of Public Health of Quebec (INSPQ).

Many think the same thing. Besides, this is what is happening in Florida, as the deconfinement was done very quickly, and there is a strong increase in cases.

Long Island in NY moved into "phase 2" today. Just finished enjoying an ice cold beer at my favorite watering hole.

Started with a Montauk Brewery IPA, then a few Sierra Nevada's, finished it all off with couple of blonds (blond beer). It was so damn good to have an almost normal dining experience away from home. Tables were outside (it was a beautiful day in NY) 6 feet apart, wait staff wearing masks and gloves, etc. Can't wait to do it again!

I read that this morning.

Thanks to vaccines, we have managed to eradicate seven major diseases = smallpox, diphteria, tetanus, yellow fever, whooping cough, measles and polio.

But that is not enough to convince 30% of Americans who will not want to be vaccinated against COVID-19

Unfortunately Covid-19 Sequela/After Effects is an often overlooked aspect. A significant percentage of Covid-19 patients (15%) go on to suffer serious problems. 41-year old actor Nick Cordero suffered a leg amputation b/c of Covid-19; his son just turned one recently.

Most people don’t care or want to hear about Covid-19 anymore so the 2nd wave will be so much worse because there’s simply no more resolve for another shutdown regardless of how bad things get. Over in the Lone Star State ..... “Houston, we have a problem”

Canada may continue to bar Americans entry for much longer still, but Canadians have never been barred from flying into the States. Maybe Canadian SPs can travel to the States for "vacations". ;)

CBC -- June 12, 2020

"Many Canadians are unaware that, even though they're currently barred from driving to the U.S. for leisure travel, they can still fly to the country.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) told CBC News that its travel restrictions apply only to Canadians trying to enter the U.S. at land border crossings, which includes travel by car, train, ferry and pleasure boats.

However, Canadian air passengers can still enter the country as long as they haven't visited Brazil, China, Iran, Ireland, the U.K. or 26 European countries in the Schengen Area 14 days prior.

Canadian travellers also likely won't have to self-isolate for 14 days upon arrival. The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends that international travellers do so, but it's not a requirement unless specified by a particular region or state. For example, Hawaii requires that air passengers self-isolate for 14 days.

When Canadians return home, they must self-isolate for 14 days — as per federal rules."

. . .

"The permission to fly isn't reciprocal: Canada prohibits U.S. visitors from entering the country via all modes of transport — including by plane. However, this week, the Canadian government loosened its travel restrictions to allow U.S. citizens with immediate family in Canada to enter the country."

Interesting article. The 2 examples they used was a grandmother visiting her granddaughter and a man visiting his fiance". I wonder if they left out about them needing to be family? If not, send all the Sp's over, we will take good care of them!
