For those willing to learn and not living in a denial mode... A nice article explaining how

Researchers are racing to figure out if Omicron can beat our vaccines

It also explains how the immune system works (antibodies, B cells, T cells) and what does a new variant mean.

Yep, your immune system is great!

Except for measles, tetanus, polio, chickenpox, yellow fever, diptheria and tuberculosis. Those need a vaccine.

Also not so good against the plague, rabies, hantavirus and malaria. And flesh eating bacteria & leprosy.

But otherwise great!

GOOD NEWS.....PFIZER PILL....Company says today its COVID pill near 90% effective :) in clinical trials---2,250 person study.

PLUS says that its experimental COVID-19 pill appears effective vs OMICRON VARIANT. The drug reduced combined hospitalisations and deaths by about 89 % among high risk adults when taken shortly after initial COVID-19 symptoms....IMHO that's a big WOW .:)

There are many top athletes who have tested positive, in short your age and even less your state of health, protects you.

As you had said that you were overweight, already there is a cause of this comorbidities.

I prefer not to take chances.

I would not bet on your chances if in addition you don't respect the sanitary instructions.

Yeah lot of cases, but where are the hospitalization among sports team...? ;)

I was back then, but more on the chubby side now. Not enough imo to justify this.

I don't run after trouble but i don't care about their stuff. What i mean is last year when it was forbidden to even visit a friend, i would visit them when i had the chance. If a big 50 peoples party would had been thrown, i wouldn't had go. But 1 friend...? Yeah. And no way im gonna keep a mask on my face inside a friend's house... lol.

We ain't very numerous in the familly so its unlikely we will go over 20 peoples no matter what, but i don't need Legault to tell me with how much peoples im gonna celebrate Christmas and im not gonna fall for this propaganda about trying to stigmatize even more the unvaccinated ones. Like really, on TV they are trying to have peoples litteraly refusing to invite familly members because they are not vaccinated? REALLY? wow...

Your bigger problem is you do not understand what it is all about. The purpose of not inviting the not-vaccinated is to protect those people because they will be the ones in the hospital, the ICU and eventually in the coffins. I can not be more straight forward. Now you can continue bragging you don't care. You will sing a different song if you are on a respirator. You will sing in your head, you know why. Omicron will find the more vulnerable. Actually, specially with the booster shot, the un-vaccinated ones are Omicron's targets. This highly contagious variant will find them all.

1) We are adults and old enough to make our own decisions just like i decide im gonna take a walk at 3 am knowing i could get attacked and robbed or killed etc etc. The governement has no place to decide for me !

2) Omicron is a wet fart so far. Stop spreading fear. Its more contagious but less virulent, wich is actually good. If anything the best outcome would be that more peoples get it but don't get any symptoms or very few ones.

The reality is by trying to hide from Covid since the start all we did was extend this thing. Its because our crappy hospital system couldn't handle more than a few hundred hospitalizations.

At some point we have to learn to live with Covid and it include peoples getting it.

Right now It Is really getting to the point of an unvaccinated person being not much more likely to infect you than a vaccinated one as enough fully vaccinated people are being infected also.
If you are unvaccinated it is your choice and you will be the one responsible for your own health.
I don‘t believe in mandating vaccination, but I do believe in charging all the unvaccinated for Covid treatment if they get sick seeing as they did not take advantage of a free and available vaccine.
Enforcing masks indoors in public places and distancing where possible is the prudent thing to do and anybody that doesn’t abide should be fined it is not difficult not hazardous to your health and it is the least you can do to protect yourself and others.

Okay, you are going to have to explain this anti-vax shit to me again.
Journalist Tim Pool is not anti vax. He was a leftist travelling the world covering protests, demonstrations, riots, revolution, etc. Recently he has been challenging mainstream news and so he is now referred to as a "far right winger". He is a classic leftist. Very different from a modern leftist. He had the free choice not to chose mRNA vax, free choice to take the risk, and free choice to have a private doctor. Ivermectin was not the heart of the treatment but monoclonal antibody treatment. Both the covid vax and monoclonal antibodies are experimental and risky. He was treated by licensed doctor. From what I read in financial news mRNA vax treatment is 20$ a dose. Monoclonal antibody treatment is 2000$+...very expensive. I will be witness that in Florida every rich millionaire has a private doctor on standby with access to monoclonal antibody therapy. Vaxxed or not. Poor folks under government health care sadly will only be given the cheaper cost efficient 20$ mRNA vax. Canada gov is so cheap we can't even get access to the traditional proven whole virus vax which is much more expensive to produce.

Analysis of 211,000 COVID test results by South Africa's largest health insurance provider (see 14 Dec news release) show that 2 shots of Pfizer provide 70% protection against severe complications.

Be careful. Demographics in South Africa are very different. Average age is much lower. Data from the UK isn't as rosy.

and it include peoples getting it.
But not those who have long covid, and not those who die from it.

When I read your reviews, I can't believe it.

It doesn't tempt you to think about other people, you live in society, unless you don't go out at all. No vaccines, no life.

Figures, less than 15% of people are not vaccinated, and in that 15%, there are 71% who are in intensive care.

You are the one that does not think about others. You are the selfish one. You want the government to impose restrictions and force vaccines because you are too afraid. The truly selfless one is one that lets others live the way they want. No one is bothering you. Stop playing that charade like you care because you do not care about anyone but yourself.

Clearly the vaccines are not working because as we can see the government is playing politics. Today Quebec had 2700 cases. They go by cases not hospitalizations. Also we are paying the price for government mismanagement on just about everything including the healthcare system.

Antivaxxers screaming about freedom remind me about drunk drivers screaming for their freedom to drive drunk.

If they accidentally kill somebody, well...tough, that somebody shouldn't have been in their way.

It's not the fault of the drunk driver!!!!

You are comparing Law and Order to Authoritarianism. Stop comparing apples to oranges.

P.S.. I am fully vaccinated. I am not an antivaxxer. I am anti-authoritarian.

I wouldn’t say the vaccines are not working they still seem to be excellent at preventing serious illness and death.
They are certainly not working nearly as well at preventing infection almost to the point where vaccine passports are becoming irrelevant as someone vaccinated is almost as likely to spread the disease and to get infected also.

Yes I agree they are mismanaging it again, the emphasis should be to get as many vaccines and booster shots in arms as possible and to concentrate on that and availability of cheap at home rapid testing capability instead of playing border games and curfews etc.. they are clearly not working, masks and distancing does work so that should remain for all indoor activity in public places.

You rethoric is debunked entirely. Vaccine only work decently at preventing hard symptoms and death of THE PERSON ITSELF who took it. Contagious aspect of the virus remain there and we are seeing it more and more.

Your analogies with drunk driving are completely flawed.

Governements are freaking outt again just for cases... CASES !

Anti-vaccine Republican William Hartmann, also a major pusher of the big lie that Trump won the 2020 election, has died of COVID.

I have compassion fatigue and don’t wish this on anyone but c’mon we’ve learned so much about this virus and people should stop making this political by now.
Sadly, some people can’t seem to grasp this concept which keeps us who know what to do in a pandemic even longer.

I’m starting to have anger towards these people.
