The question is whether in the context of the supremely intimate act of a sexual relationship a woman is allowed to discriminate based on race. Many seem to agree that yes.
The question is whether a woman is allowed to discriminate based on her past personal experiences as a working girl and her encounters with vile, cheap and violent men. Many of them are from a particular ethnic group and have imported this cultural view of women as chattel.

What I posted is 100% true. You are questioning the logic, it doesn't matter!!!!! This isn't a fucking test at school it's the lady's body and HER perception of discretion. YOUR PERCEPTION OF DISCRETION/LOGIC DOESN'T MATTER, and whether hers is logical or correct also doesn't matter. It is what it is. I have met many ladies that gave that rationale. One I recall was Asian from a specific community and didn't see any Asians at all. For discretion reasons. She didn't want to run into someone who knew her and her occupation get revealed.
Literally. Black women and Indian women are more likely to be assaulted by their own community. BW face severe violence in this line of work, by their clients, coworkers, employers. Sometimes you don’t feel explaining all of that and spreading more stereotypes, so it’s easier to say it’s because of privacy issues.

Interesting.

The comments I heard from women in the industry were from Asian women and they were comments about the behaviour of other men from a minority community, non-caucasian, that is.

I don’t know what brought this on but I hope you understand that most men will not stand in a picket line to advocate discrimination against sex workers of colour or any sex workers.
Just like most escorts hide it from their friends and family, most men don’t exactly want to advertise that they are seeing escorts either for many reasons.
Apart from that many of us don’t discriminate against any women.
Dude you don’t have to attend anti sw rallies to be discriminatory. What are you even on about. Many of you are extremely compliant with the rules the white majority instate in this industry unless you don’t get access to someone’s vagina. That’s the only time you will protest.

Clients get to pick and chose who they want to try and book based on their criteria. She's too fat, she's too skinny, she's too old, she's missing a tooth, etc...

SP's are afford that same opportunity, based on their preference also, regardless of the reasons. Race happens to sometimes be one of those criteria, along with many others like distance, hotel ratings, duration length, deposits, etc.

It's better to list these restrictions up front, rather than have clients be disappointed at a later date.

Yet you won’t budge or even stand up for the discrimination of sex workers of color.
I mentioned it a few times about quotas stripclubs got on Black girls. A lot of clubs have a max 4 Black girl, some even less. Deesses 15 years ago had a no Black girl policy. I find it very discriminatory. There is a client for all types of girls. Bookers tend to book based on their personal preferences. There are clubs with mostly Black girls and it works fine, plenty of clients.

Vancouver agencies are now getting around specific providers issues by requesting ethnicity info for every booking. I find knowing a certain provider won’t see me because I am black, brown, yellow, white or green better than bookings failing every time without ever finding out why.

The truth is most of us don’t think about discrimination or about the sex industry in particular.
We go see an escort because we are attracted to them and want to spend a pleasant time with them as a companion.
I have never been refused by any sex worker that I requested to book, if it did happen, no big deal there are more than enough to choose from.
Just like most of us when we buy a piece of clothing don’t always think about the sweat shops and mistreatment of the people who produced those garments, do you?

Anyway, at the rate at which immigration is going, eventually these restrictions will have to go: there won't be enough white clients left!

(Think this is exaggerated? Toronto is 56% visible minorities at the 2021 census. I'm not forgetting East Asians but you get my point.)
On this point I would say these days I see maybe 10% white clients , and the rest are from all over the world. Your not wrong in saying they are turning away work... but their choice. If the provider isn't into entertaining you, then having it in their ad just let's you know not to waist your time or money on them either. Save it for someone who is deserving and doesn't discriminate against you.

I know you’re one of our troopers lol. But you’re more of a stripclub guy. In person tho, most customers won’t be very vocal about their preferences or if they witness racism.

I understand it’s intimidating but it’s even more destabilizing when as a sw you get told by MOC you are doing too much for defending yourself against racism.
That’s why I personally don’t care for this type of debate because clients in our position wouldn’t even try as much.

If you look at richmond bc (60-70% non white) you can see one day discrimination will go the other way (a lot of asian clients only providers) but generally a very inclusive rainbow!

That would be fair if you were not an active member of a forum around sex work. I would hope you sometimes think further than big boobies.

I have been seeing the same 2 ladies for over 5 years so I guess you can say it goes beyond that although one does have big boobies.
We are friends and these 2 ladies are not only gorgeous but the kindest young ladies you would want to meet.
I would think most of us support sex workers and are way more informed than the general public but we are a minuscule of the population and our support is like spitting in the ocean to make more waves.

Is you're experience the same as others... Or perhaps you specifically attract a different kind of clientele? Worth considering. Only 5-6 (of the same) women tend to respond here... Out of over a 1,000 sex workers in the city. Your experience may not mirror others.

Fradi maybe you and Porsche should debate this privately by pm.

Pick your battles. Not everything needs to be responded/reacted to immediately or emotionally.

Well, I call BS on this one. Beside the situation pointed by @Fradi , I.e. the fear of bumping into a acquaintance due to belonging to a small ethnic community, every other "reason " falls into the racism category.
Nope not racism.
Consider that some women who have restrictions may actually already have clients from those ethnicities - but they are simply not accepting new ones moving forward. Simple risk management.
I can assure you this is in fact, a truth.

I said it and I will say it again, it’s easier to ban men of colour using the “I’ve been assaulted once by a man of colour” issue.

A woman can be assaulted by white men 10 times, she will never ban them.
