It is very minuscule compared to the rest of the world and that is what I was comparing it to, simple mathematics lol. Canada has 38- 40 million population how many died because of racism in health care or in total because of racism.
You want to compare that to just a small little part called Gaza.
Most people should be so lucky to live here in Canada, racism here is alive for sure but nothing compared to the rest of the world.
Canada is not at literal war on our own soil, and we have few inhabitants, correct.

if you compare health disparities per capita, well, fuck here's the first thing I found:

Highlights
• Patterns of racial health inequalities differ across the United States and Canada.
• Black-white and Hispanic-white inequalities are larger in the United States.
• Aboriginal-white inequalities are larger in Canada.
• Socioeconomic factors do not explain inequalities across racial groups equivalently.
• Levers to reduce health inequalities may be found at the societal level.

Why do you think they are at war because they feel the love or because there is lethal racism to the point of ethnic cleansing.
Let me tell you, you are lucky to be living in Canada.
Yes there is racism here like in every country in the world.
Canada is one of the best places with freedoms and opportunities that people in most countries can only dream about and yes racism that is minuscule compared to other countries.
I think most of you talk about things you have never lived and hopefully never will looking it up on google is not the same as machine gun fire around you and refugee camps all because you are different.

I posted an example of it earlier in the thread. All the white guys who didn't get scholarship offers for the 30 years John Thompson coached Georgetown and recruited exclusively black players in order to promote opportunities for them, but not white guys. Post 205 FYI
African Americans, despite being a racial minority, have made up the majority of NCAA and NBA players since the 1970s and 1980s. In 2023, they represented 14% of the U.S. population but accounted for 70% of the NBA, a fact that is unrelated to preferential hiring or reverse racism. Thompson's preferential recruiting could be interpreted as virtue-signaling, affirmative action, or discrimination. However, it was arguably in effect a self-serving strategy that benefitted the Hoyas' win percentage to target talented Black players for recruitment—most of whom probably would have been selected anyway based on merit alone, making this an imperfect example.

Another contemporary example that is perhaps cleaner to use is Students for Fair Admissions v. Harvard, where the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that race-conscious university admissions policies discriminated against White and Asian applicants. I'll also point out that studies on affirmative action highlight the fact that race alone can be an overly simplistic factor for determining who is underprivileged versus privileged or powerful. These studies indicate that, contrary to their intent, affirmative action policies largely benefit economically advantaged African Americans or privileged first and second-generation immigrants from African or Caribbean countries, rather than African Americans who are socio-economically disadvantaged, descendants of enslaved individuals, and/or victims of systemic racism.

Let's reel it back to the primary topic at hand. We're all going off on tangents. Scotch anyone? That slimey bastard Vernon stole my cigar.

I would argue that black players just happen to be much better basketball players and he wanted a winning team.i am not a huge basketball fan but even with my limited knowledge it is obvious that the majority of the best players are black and we’ll deserve to be at the top based on their skills.
Now if his teams were always at the tail end of the league then I would question both his motives and judgement.

All of that is true but Thompson recruited 100% black players for a long period of time and that's just not typical basketball roster construction. Yes it's a black dominated sport, but 100% black rosters, except at the historically black colleges, are and were very rare. In the 1985 NCAA championship game, Thompson's Georgetown team was historically upset by huge underdog Villanova, which shot an unthinkable NCAA record 78% against the defensively superlative Georgetown. What Villanova had on their team is exactly the player Georgetown lacked, white sharpshooter Harold Jensen. That year in particular, Georgetown had the best team in college basketball, and I saw them in person several times as I was in college at that time.

That's all true and he had excellent teams but they lacked a little bit in the shooting department, and there were 2 seasons in particular where if he had a couple of white sharpshooters that he hadn't recruited championships may not have been left on the table. Thompson's teams were known for their defensive relentlessness, but they got caught in a halfcourt tempo game with Villanova in 1985 and that Georgetown team lacked shooting on the perimeter. This was particularly important because in basketball teams that have designated shooters can space the floor so the opponent cannot sag inside and clog the lane. Villanova executed a perfect game plan against a vastly superior Georgetown team in that regard, shot 78% which was a record, but that game plan is foiled if Georgetown had a knockdown shooter like Steve Alford at the time.

I think it is better this way.
At least now you know who is a racist and who is not ( in some cases it could be that they don’t want to run into relatives or friends).
It is better than booking someone and then being rejected and humiliated at the door.
At the end of the day whether you think it is racist or not everybody does have a choice as to who they want to be intimate with client and SP.
The difference is that a racist client will not book anyone he doesn’t like and you will never know about it.
Luckily there is still enough choices for every one.
Hey @Fradi
I never said anyone was unlucky for living in Canada, and not at war, especially not my white fat ass.

And to bring it back to the beginning of this train wreck of a thread, I agree with every point you made here as the very first person to respond to the OP.

Speaking of the OP, he is what I would call the "Demo Guy", because he starts an explosive thread and runs, much like the demolitions experts who blow up buildings. However I think he was intending to start a debate about racism at one agency, rather than spawn yet another unwieldy thread on racism in the industry and generally. So I would say he didn't blow up the intended building but the one next door, sort of like the drone that Hezbollah sent at Netanyahu's house which ended up blowing up his neighbor's house.

Like I said with my limited knowledge of basketball and I admit I don’t often watch it unlike the many other sports.
The only white players I remember are John Havlicek and Larry Bird both from the Boston Celtics and both exceptional players but I could name many black players.
There are some sports that they just completely dominate in and deserve to be there they are that good there is no discrimination or racism just skill.

I started to look at the thread, said fuck this, and decided to skip the word vomit and go back to the OP. There's simply too much pent up whatever making its way out here.

Keeping it simple, and because without really knowing the person you can't know the whys and wherefores of the policy I simply look at it as a restriction, in the same class as other restrictions, and leave it to the girl to decide what her restrictions are and leave it to myself to decide whether I'm willing to go along with them or whether they matter. If not I simply move in to the next provider. Seems pretty simple to me. Many of you guys seem to be heaping an inordinate amount of stress on yourselves racing to the bottom of the rabbit hole for something you're unlikely to be able to affect and which can easily be avoided.

Naaaaa.... A true racist would never keep friends with said member of whatever race his bigotry is towards.

The same way a vegetarian wouldn't eat meat only 6 out of seven days.

I think perhaps some of you have other things going on in your lives and maybe just need to spar and vent just for the sake of arguing.

One has to be open to the idea that their view on things may be susceptible to tunnel vision.

My black, and Chinese, and Indian, and Filipino, and Algerian friends are an integral part of my life. But my preference in sexual partners is primarily (but not exclusively) white.

Sorry, but there's no racism here. The same way I prefer chocolate cake over vanilla.
It was less about the calling out preference as I have preferencences too when it comes to my personal life.

But was all about the cliché of I have friends of X race to claim non-racism. I have read what you've written all along. And sounds like similar boat I relate to. You haven't been giving racist vibes to me, it was just the cliché I am friends with i couldn't help spotting.
I blame it on seeing too many comedy shows pointing this very cliche out.

Racism is not exclusive to white people.
There are many black people who are racist against whites and asians or any one that is different to them.
There isn’t any race, ethnicity or colour that is immune to racism or doesn’t have it amongst them

Let’s just agree that it is ugly no matter who practices it.
People should be judged on their actions and behaviour period.
I'm not the one to say white people aren't targets of racism. I know all races including white is targeted as well all over the world, and here too, just not to the same degree here. I actually erased a message I was in the process of writing earlier that had an example of that, because this thread was about racism for MOC, and I didn't want to play flip the scrip. As other races feel targeted they flip it and hate their supressors, and become racist themselves twords them. Every race who has wronged another creates hate and retaliation racism. Hate begets hate. It is a vicious circle.

Just to point out. The providers here on the forum, are on the side of anti-racism we all who have been responding here actively practice love for all races, not even tolerance but true acceptance, and even amongst eachother help correct accidental or ignorant racism by educating ourselves on better practices, of self expression. Unfortunately those who you want to get this message accross to, don't use this forum. The only ones your preaching this racist take to, are other hobbiests. The girl in an agency writing No X race, is not lurking here, or even cares this discussion is happening because of their actions. All the providers here can do is lend a sympathetic ear and do what we do best, and console and make you feel heard, and know we aren't all like these girls publicly refusing to see someone because of where they come from or the color of their skin.

And what I think the issue with what was mentioned earlier is actually the script has been flipped so much, that many white people are also being told they have no right to feel targeted by racism to them now, because of all their ancestors have done to others in the past. But truth is racism isn't good reguardless of who is giving it and who is recieving it.

And only bringing it up now as it has now become a part of the conversation. So my opinion on it isn't out of left field.

And a few of these cultures being pointed out as being targets of genocide and war over seas, are technically counted as white as well. People seem to forget that just because it is overseas in other countries, some are just as white as here, it is just they get refered to by their culture or country instead of the color of their skin.

14 pages is crazy
You are more than wise lol.
This is what we should be concerned about and talking about. Way more fun
“I want to know everything. I want to be everywhere. I want to fuck everyone in the world. I want to do something that matters.

Always wondered where you got this quote from or if you made it up but it is so cool and actually so you and surely if everyone practised this there would be no racism.
