Price is injured....do you really believe it????? Montoya in the net for the weekend.

I hope you really don't believe the b.s. that the habs are peddling. Injured my ass!!!

All they wanted was an excuse for Montoya to be in the net in Winnipeg and maybe for the next game. They figured if they'd peddle the b.s. that he's slightly injured might put all the controversy to rest. But all they likely did is create even more controversy and have everyone laughing at them since we call all see right through their b.s.

Martin Leclerc a déclaré ce matin sur les ondes de RDI que selon lui les problèmes de Price sont hors patinoire et personnels.....seriez-vous surpris???

It's pure speculation on his part. It's true that the problems Price is having are between the ears. He seems to have no focus and totally distracted whenever he plays. There could be a hundred reasons for this. People often rush to judgement and will pinpoint the problem to a family/marital one.

Maybe the bulk of the problem is the $80 million he just signed a few months ago and it makes him harder to focus or motivate him to obtain a bigger contract. If he sucks for the rest of his career he'll still have his $80 million.

Or maybe he lost his interest for hockey and realizes there's more to life than just hockey. Of course it'd be just a coincidence that all of this may have happened right after he agreed to sign an $80 million contract, right? ;)

Bravo aux Habs....belle remontée....ont dominé avec 50 tirs au but.....on sentait qu'ils voulaient donner la victoire à Montoya et lui ont donné. Ont joué avec beaucoup de détermination....à répéter.

Good thing the ref didn't call that interference penalty against the habs just before the goal was scored or else they probably wouldn't have won the game.

On another note, they did dominate the play and they seem to play better when Montoya is in the net.

Everyone assumed if Price was traded that the team could not be competitive, WRONG, never make silly ass assumptions as reasons not to blow up a team. Habs got 2-0 shutout tonight from Lindgren, the young American from Minnesota. Of the Hawks in Chicago, no less. No reason for Price, Pacioretty or Galchenyuk to remain, trade all 3 now for a boatload of young talent and then win the Stanley Cup in 4 years, maybe 5.

Pacioretty still has value but he'll be an unrestricted free agent in two years, which might scare some teams since he'll likely be looking for $7 million+. But he's currently the most tradeable player of the three you mentioned.

Galchenyuk currently doesn't have much value. They'd be better hanging on to him until he managed to increase his value again. He scored 30 goals just a few years ago and he's still in his early 20's. Getting rid of him now would be a panic move unless some team is crazy enough to overpay for him, which won't happen.

Carey Price is untradeable. There is not a single team out there who would want to take on an aging goaltender with eroding skills who has a brand new $80 million contract for the next 8 years. There is simply no room in a team's salary cap structure for such a contract and with the huge risks involved. Such a contract would be very difficult to accomodate, let alone for a goaltender. To be honest i wouldn't want this primadonna on my hockey team. He's already got a coach fired and now that he's got his wish he's been even worse. Plus he's lousy! He couldn't stop a beach ball if his life depended on it and i'm not even sure he'll ever regain his form. In other words, the habs are stuck with him.

And while they'd probably entertain the idea of trading Pacioretty and Galchenyuk they won't give them away and currently teams are not interested in giving much for them. Plus the fact Pacioretty's current contract is very team-friendly so he's likely a keeper for now.

Il semble bien que les Habs jouent mieux sans Price.....ont plus confiance en leurs moyens, plus combatifs-déterminés et veulent gagner. Comme si Price était devenu une source de stress et de distraction....à suivre.

Habs fans better hope that Claude Julien goes out of his way to keep Carey Price from returning to action. They're a much better team without him.

If they don’t play him gotta trade him, eat contract, take cap hit with young cheap players and draft picks to be developed. It’s the only way to go and get some good draft picks. A lot of teams in the hunt could use Price. Another option is trade him for another bad contract and eat less, taking less picks. This is what the Yankees have to do with Jacoby Ellsbury and trier like hell last year. They tried the bad contract for bad contract approach with Giants for Samaardjzia but problem was the Samardjzia contract was very bad and Giants wanted Yankees to take a big swallow rather than do a straight Bad contract for bad contract. Montreal will not get away with no swallow so the objective should be small swallow and take a lesser bad contract and picks.

The Habs are becoming a pain or a torture to watch, so wives who normally send their husband to the dog house are now sending them to watch a Habs game .... .
