Listening to Tony Marinaro this morning he just said that the Chicago Blackhawks are the worst team in the league considering other teams near them in the standings have games in hand over them.

Sorry jalimon bu they are NOT a far better team than their current ranking. They're where they are in the standings because that's what they are: an aging team with aging stars with an average goalie. It's usually a formula to finish at the bottom of the standings.

I didn't watch the game but Marinaro pointed out that the Hawks dominated the Habs and that the Habs literally stole this game. Tomas Tatar got three penalties and would have been the ZERO of the game had he not tipped in the winning goal in the final minutes. From ZERO to hero!

With 35 points Habs have more or equal points than 20 teams in the league and they play--curieusement---in the stronger division--Atlantic...not that bad,,,,

Tonight should be a close encounter between the Habs (35pts) and the Wild (32pts) in Saint-Paul Minnesota. I wonder if Juulsen plays today?

Ouff....il était temps qu'elle finisse...les Canes ont des jeunes talentueux et rapides....mais l'important ce sont les 2 points au classement...4ème victoire in row for Price. Ottawa again Saturday.

Picking on teams like Carolina and Ottawa isn’t getting me excited. These are just games to pad stats, look in the mirror and thump the chest a bit. Let’s see some chest thumping against the better teams- TB, Leafs, Washington, Columbus.

Yes your assessment of the habs is spot on. And when that happens I find their games really hard to watch. You forgot to add Chicago (the league's worst team) to the sad teams you listed. The habs are a bad team and the little success they've had this season was nothing but a mirage just to fool their fan base.

I never said that the habs were boring to watch. Au contraire. They have for the most part been very exciting to watch this season as compared to past years. However the Leafs of the 80's (the Harold Ballard years) were also very exciting to watch but were equally absolutely awful. Many of the games the Leafs played in at the time were tight games but they more than often ended up on the losing end.

The habs this season surpassed expectations early on. Max Domi was scoring like a 40-goal scorer, which he is not. Same with Tomas Tatar. Kostkaniemi played very well early on but now i find him invisible. There's absolutely no reason that this kid should not be developing at a lower level. The habs will ruin another top draft pick i can almost guarantee it. The organization is CRAP at developing players!

What you have is a mirage. Still a very exciting team to watch but a team that is still among the worse teams in hockey. A team that will once again miss the playoffs and will likely miss out on a top 5 pick because they've played better than expected. For those people who enjoy watching an exciting team that loses more games than it wins than this habs team is perfect for them. Enjoy!

I basically agree with Doc here, but I tend to think they will slip into the playoffs and then get knocked out in the first round. But they are in a situation where they are going to have to build by trade as much as by draft because they won't be near a top level draft pick for a while.

Another game against the Sens and another 5-2 win for the Habs. Kotkaniemi did well which should help him build confidence

Since Weber is back the Habs are first in the league for shots on goal. Always a good sign. And they did scored quite a lot.

When I look at the Habs line up on paper I am like my god we will get crushed! But what we see on the ice is quite different. Pretty good team ;)

So Bruins tonight.

As a very wise hockey player once said on air "Who will win will be decided on the ice". Pas fou comme thinking ;)

Cheers,
