My Red Wings beat the Habs again last night in their own building. Twice in the same year. The commentators said that this hasn't happened since 2007-2008 when the Wings had the best team money could buy. However, I can't find record of this. Can someone help? Also, the Wings are terrible and Montreal is pretty good. How does this happen?
How it happened? Red Wings coach Jeff Blashill ate two hotdogs at the Bell Centre just before the game. He did the same thing last time and it seems to have worked. Had he not ate those two hotdogs the habs likely would have won.
Seriously though....the habs lost against the worse team in hockey (at the moment) because they have a team that still badly struggles scoring goals. It's been this way for years. Nothing seems to change year after year. No snipers, no true #1 centre, small team, below-average defence, strong goaltender. Same story. Year...after...year.
