Jman is right. I've been told by Independents with high rates that it helps to clean up the kind of clientele they have to deal with. But it's also because they have usually built up solid reputations. They can ask that much and can attract the kind of clients who who can afford extended stays and more.

I'm not sure what there is to object about. I've been priced out by these high prices on some ladies I wanted to see, but they have earned the reputation to do so. Why should they stay at $200 when they can get more. If they are frauds they will fade. If not, more power to them.

For me, like SpecialAgentMoody, I know there are plenty of gems at better rates.
