Here’s my perspective, a humble Torontonian.
I see escorts here in Toronto and I drop by Montreal when I get the chance, which isn’t very often. (Coincidentally, I just returned from Montreal.)
The reason I go to Montreal is because I want to see the “stars”. There is no point in me going to Montreal just to see the same quality of escorts I can see here. It is true that in Montreal they will be $20 or $40 less per hour, but the cost of the trip and time away from work means I am far better off here.
(Just for a frame of reference, here are some examples of past escorts who I consider to be stars: Karyna, Emanuelle, Venus, Porchya, Paris, Jazz, Eden, Dolce, Tessa, Alyssa. These are all past escorts from Eleganza, and if I could see them again for $240 an hour (plus extras), I would do it in a second.)
In Toronto, with a few exceptions, you don’t get the stars.
(I would imagine that the situation is even more extreme for Americans where prices are triple, quality is half, and you can end up in jail.)
My main hope is that John can attract more stars with higher rates. What Maria Divina said in her post makes sense to me: More money for the same or fewer clients and “gentler” clients. (A couple of escorts told me on this trip about excessive butt slapping by some clients.)
I can’t think of any reason why the better escorts (hotter, better attitude, etc.) shouldn’t be paid more than the others. Not all escorts are the same.
I definitely don’t think of John as some type of magician who can conjure up stars to work for his agency at $180 an hour and no extras. We are asking enough of him to bring stars into the escort business in the first place. His business model will collapse if he brings them into the industry just to have them go to another agency or decide to stop working altogether because they don’t feel they are getting paid enough. If they are fully booked at $240 per hour (or happy with whatever bookings they get), then good for them.
Just to be clear, not all of John’s escorts are stars. But for Keli and Summer (and Giana), I would be okay with $240 an hour. For others, I would be calling to complain (and soon stop using Eleganza) if John sent me an average escort and expected me to pay $240 an hour.
For me, the trend that worries me the most is escorts who only do incalls. Traveling to see an escort for an incall is too big of a hassle on a Montreal vacation. It takes the fun out of the trip.
Anyways, John is a businessman. He will figure out very quickly what works for his agency.
Maybe he will move to Toronto and start recruiting here.
Also, in terms of Toronto pricing, if Keli and Summer were in Toronto, then they would likely be working at Mirage as Mirage VIPs. Mirage is the biggest agency in Toronto and I have seen most of the Mirage VIPs (ie. I have seen Jessyka, Jessie, Angie, Emmanuelle, Emma, Electra, Julie) and Keli and Summer are definitely better than most of them. Plus, Keli and Summer offer sw as an option and most of the Mirage VIPs don’t, so that would also make them stand out.
Their rates would be:
½ hour (incall only): $200 (plus extras)
1 hour (incall): $300 (plus extras)
1 hour (outcall): $325 (plus extras)
(So I can understand why Montrealer wouldn’t want Montreal to turn into Toronto.)
There are certainly a lot of Montreal escorts travelling to Toronto. I just noticed Shanelle of XXXtase is at Dreammakers (another Toronto agency) today.
Many of the Montreal escorts have returned several times, so I think they find it profitable.
